It's easier to take it off and run just armor/belt systems. I personally wouldn't do it though I like having my pouches on my plate carrier.

I just bought an ALICE rig, posted about it a little in /gqg/ but no pics yet. I'm still playing around with where the pouches should go, and trying to decide if the whole thing needs a bath since it stinks like shit.
