These desu senpai. 18 inch is great for the spr but for the length and range you don't get enough. 14.5 gives you adequate velocity so you can still hit a target at 500m but short enough for MOUT. 10 is optimal for shortest but max effective is 300m

Define "one AR". I can buy as many uppers as I want and it's still one gun so long as they get put on the same lower.

Probably 16'', like my AR is now. I find it to be a good length. Short enough to not be tripping over, but long enough to reach out and touch whatever I want. It's also the shortest length to still retain a removable muzzle device, which is sweet.
