If you have a ar (20inch barrel, ss109) zero at 25m with an mpi 2inches above point of aim. you will be a few inches low at 100m, on at 200m, and lower incrementally past that.

This depends on the velocity of the round. If you're using a 10/22 or some 9mm carbine it will be low at 100m. If you're shooting a normal rifle cartridge that has a mv higher than 2000fps chances are your impact will be high at 100. BC does come into play but velocity makes most of the difference. You'd have to shoot a 22lr 40gr solid at 2400fps to hit high at 100 from a 50 zero. To get a 5.56 shooting 55gr fmjbt to hit high at 100 from a 50 zero the bullet would only need to go 2300fps. The g1s of 22lr and 5.56 are .140 and .250, respectively. It's a one tenth change and yet both of them are still having to travel quite fast just to meet that req.

But seriously anyone who asks questions 'out' noguns is DAF
