Beretta tried to sell it's AR160 to the FDF, but they didn't perform well in the cold. I can't help but think this is an attempt at selling their rifle to Eastern European nations still using 7.62x39 for ease of replacement.

It's no secret they have been wanting to develop more calibers for a while now. The ability to quickly swap calibers was one of its original selling points.

I think they want a .300 Blackout version too.
