PPU makes runs of it seasonally. They also make components for it. So, like every other milsurp caliber, reload.

.250-3000 Savage

I came into possession of a Savage 99 chambered in .250 Savage a few years ago and I've never been able to shoot it. Twenty rounds go for 30-40 bucks online, if you can find them in stock, and I can't justify that when I don't hunt and normally just plink with my Mosin or .22. I have since gotten a Vz.58 and PTR-91 as well, so there really isn't any point.

It's a shame too, becasue from what I've read, the Model 99s are great guns, I just wish mine was chambered in .30-30. Apparently .250 is also a reloaders dream, but I don't reload. I'm looking to sell it, but the few places I've taken it to have all turned me away becasue it's in such an obscure caliber.

I'm glad budsgunshop.com carries S&B 7mm Mauser at 80¢ a round, all the LGS near me have it, but it's all Hornandy polymer tipped hunting ammo that's $1.50 or more a round.
