That had to of detonated multiple bullets through the casing and cylinder walls. This is crazy how did it only lose the top half unless just the top bullet was loaded with that much charge it looks like the right side of the cylinder the bullet took off down the side of the barrel and the left side got caught leaving the cylinder. ok so I was dry firing my hi power with a loaded mag because it makes the gun heavier, I had enough and wanted to take a break so i racked the slide, dropped the magazine and pulled the trigger while aiming at the window.
like i just said the magazine was loaded and i racked the slide so I chambered a round without knowing and accidentally fired a round at my neighbor's house, fortunately no one died

Not me but my grandpa fucked up bad. back when I was around 12 or 13, before the Alzheimer's got him, he used to let me watch him practice quickdraw shooting with a .22 revolver, not sure what model. So anyways I'm watching him trying to shoot at a row of cans and he was usually fairly decent, but that day he just could not hit shit for the life of him. So he loads up one last time before he calls it a day, he gets about halfway through before he, in his anger and rush, cocked and fired the pistol before he pulled it completely out of his holster. Shot himself downwards through the thigh and out near his knee. I didn't even notice really, until he kind of hobbles over to me laughing and says "anon you're not gonna believe this shit, I just shot myself, isn't that funny?" Bullets by themselves are not dangerous at all. It takes a chamber for the gasses to expand in a very small space in order for them to be dangerous. If you guys managed to set it off and it hit your foot or your leg it would probably hurt just a little more then an airsoft rifle if you were within a couple feet.

In my hazy stupor of 36 hours of wakefulness I wasn't paying full attention and learned my lesson from it. Looking back I see my situation as similar to any where operating any machinery (be it vehicles or firearms) while drunk, drowsy, or otherwise will severely impede focus.
I suppose if I had racked the slide multiple times like I normally do, I would have seen the chambered rounds eject and been alerted. Funny that the ONE time where I neglected to do so could have prevented the accident from happening.
