Been thinking about grabbing a MAS-36 rifle for a while now, though I have been contemplating getting a latter model MAS-49 rifle. Any problems that you guys know to be present with the 36? And if so, would it be better to go with the 49 instead?

Get both.

If it's in 7.5 it'll be difficult to get ammo for.

Just reload.

>just reload
Ha. Haha.

Don't buy milsurp if you don't reload. Really simple rule.

its not that its hard m8, but more that it takes an enormous amount of time to do it let alone become proficient in it.

...
Are you having a giggle?
>>31885035
maybe you should look into reloading and all that it entails a bit before you continue memeing tripfag.

Now I know you're just fucking with me.
get a mas 36
What's finna

I don't understand. I really don't. Obsolete calibers will require reloading if they're to be shot frequently enough to be worth the purchase. Unless you just like hanging it on the wall or admiring it when you open your sentry gun cabinet.
It's not that hard really, but yes it takes effort. Like all good things it takes effort. You could also spend a lot of money on PPU 7.5 french and never get your old warhorse to its full potential.

What is the internet?
>it'll be more expensive
there, fixed it for you

I have a mas 49/56 converted to 308, love it. It's just not the most dead reliable gun, but worth a minor range glitch here and there to have easy to find and half price ammo.

That's the beauty of owning more than one gun. If you're anything like me, you spread out your ammo usage between 6 or 7 calibers and one oddball really doesn't amount to that much over the course of a year.

Black person speak for "Gonna" or "Thinking about".

Do not get a 49/56 in 308, the conversions were botched.
Depends of what you want. The MAS 36 is a nice bolt action rifle (avoid 36/51 because it has probably shoot a lot of rifle grenades in its life and won't be very accurate). The 49/56 is more operational (you can convert it to full auto quite easily if it's legal where you live, btw).
If it's jsut for comfy range shooting, get a 36.
