What's the current state of WASRs? Are they century builds? Do they still have canted sight posts, etc?

If they're first quality, that is not a re-built rifle that failed QC in the first place at the factory, then that's probably fine.
I paid I think $700 for my last SAIGA AK in sporterized form, but no idea what they go for now. Looks aside, they function flawlessly.
DDI or IO is the worst ever. Even a zastava I wouldn't touch after seeing the AK operators testing.
To me, it looks like a rifle built for export for plinkers that will never shoot 1000 rounds.

My front sight post is leaning. Just barely though but bad enough where i hit off target at 100 yards.
I just ordered a red dot and put on a rear sight rail.

Century had them chop up AKs that failed QC into parts kits they paid like $15 for and had monkies rebuild them on a barge off the coast of Florida back in the day. Today, I don't know, maybe they're 100%. There's a reason why WASRs had such a reputation for poor quality.

Local shop in town made it for me. I read to many stories of people getting shitty aks where the rivets pop out and sights are canted to risk it. I know I overpaid but I love it and at least I've got it in case next Tuesday goes the wrong way. Plus if anything goes wrong on it I have a lifetime warranty and the shop is literally a 5 min drive from me.

DDI wsn't Waffenwerks, DDI bought Waffenwerks. They then honored all warranties and fixes the broken rifles for free. The left over receivers they acquired from the buyout they just flat out destroyed because they were beyond saving.
