Hey /k/, I hope to later collect historical and antique rifles. Don't know all too much, but hope to get a mosin. What rifles would you all recommend to start collecting?
An IWI Tavor would be a good start.

Get a good Lee Enfield No.4 Mk 1. Some say Long Branch arsenal made the best ones because Canada wasn't constantly getting bombed to shit or made them under threat of getting bombed to shit.
After that, look for an Israeli Mauser K98 which will be chambered in 7.62x51 (.308 Win) instead of the harder to find 8mm Mauser. I guess everyone should also own at least one SKS.

Stay away from the Mosin. Unless you just feel like pissing away $500 then yeah go for it.

>mosin
>$500
Maybe for a really nice m39

thank god the M44 makes a decent stand-in

And he'll be 10 years too late when Mosins are $600, mediocre Arisakas are $500, and Enfields are $800 in 2026.
And for anyone planning to shoot milsurp, not reloading is just throwing money in the toilet.
Well, I got 2 mosins (A 91/30 and M44) from my friend for $200.
First guns as well.
SKS was a recent addition.
(I'm aware that they're memeguns.)

The guns themselves are mostly <$500 for bolt actions and <$1000 for semi-autos. The ammo prices are manageable if you reload
>>31884313
$200-$250 for a 91/30
$145 for a spam can
>buying milsurp over the internet

What part of fairy land are you in? Is it next to the old lady in the shoe?
