Neck tubes are unreliable in my experience. Shemaghs are bigger and can bee used in the summer (just soak it with water) or in winter.

Really useful for my line of work. I soak it in water, and it keeps my neck cool all day long under the hot sun.

says. I'm work in the elements all day every day in Wyoming. I always have a buff and bandana. I like this shemagh cause it has a larger surface area, and in my mind more cloth = more possibilities. Blanket, towel, arm sling, facewrap whatever. It's a big piece of cloth, a most basic human tool. Get one, they're only 10-25 bucks man. If you don't like it just give it to somebody else.

I have one my sister bought me. She probably paid way too much for it. I keep it in my truck and do use it on occasion but I always feel a little weird about it. I don't think anyone cares but I only wear it when I don't expect to see anyone.

I usually wear mine innawoods. They're great during both winter and summer, though I wouldn't wear it around town. The flecktarn jacket I sometimes wear is autistic enough for me.

Traditional clothing from almost all cultures includes some form of neck garment, often with a more inner layer made from linen or cotton and an outer layer from wool when cold. I've usually found a shemagh to be somewhere between bulky (compared to a buff or something) and simply unnecessary what with modern elastic collars and hoods, but that's for temperate climates.
