Was organizing my phone and getting pictures of my shit.

First off the book I got, second printing 1978. Has a good amount of pictures of weapons, gear, etc, might post some pics later if anyone's interested, though they'll be phone uploads
>>
>>31865539
Next up the actual thing I got. Only piece of camo there besides some shitty UCP kid's costume overall

Looks like there was a tag sewn in, but it was removed. There's a stamped name where it was and above the breast pocket

And here's the stamp, reading C.D.SMITH which is above the breast pocket and where the tag was at the neck.

Haven't been able to find any other markings inside, hopefully someone can date it, though I'm guessing it's commercial
>>

Is commercial duck hunter worth anything? Local surp store has a lot of old DH camo
>>
>>31865625
Depends on how old it is I'd guess. I got this for $4, so no real loss to me, worst case I wear it around since it fits me

Not impressed. This whole "character NEEDS to be black/gay/trans/womyn because it's 2016/17!" has gone too far. Just because a loud minority is complaining doesn't mean they need to ruin great series because of it.
Also they should have kept James Sheridan as Flagg.
>>
>>31867249
I feel like they're not planning to make the whole series into movies, since Roland and Susannah's characters and dynamics are totally going to be fucked.

>>
>>31867337
I wonder if Rhodie knows anything about the new shit I got, since he'd probably know whether or not it's Vietnam era
>>
>>31867428

>Head strap

You mean the headband or the suspension?

Because your headband is currently completely undone. It's the little snap system on the back.
The suspension you untie and retie wider to allow it to sit lower on your head, tighter causes it to sit higher.
>>
>>31867434
The cut is 100% commercial
>>
>>31867573
Figured as much, just wonder if the name stamped like that might've been done when used by military in any way
>>
>>31867573

All duck hunter in was commercial.

>>31867581

That being said, yes, yours looks like Kamo brand which wasn't used. Period correct stuff had utility-style pockets with star buttons.
>>
>>31867649

I think the Alpenflage backpack was more of a "oh shit we need to go attack bag guys right now" thing. It only holds two rifle grenades and a poncho. I think these vinyl backpacks were used as your standard "carry all your shit" backpacks.

It's the gas mask bag.

Never really went into detail with them, but the trousers to my Mex uniform are actually riding breeches. I knew when I got them that they weren't standard but I never really combed over them until now.

High waisted, reinforced groin, ass, interior of thighs, extreme tapering in the legs especially in the calf area, and buttons to tighten around the shins.
>>
Interesting profile and fit that I'm not used to. I haven't worn jodhpurs in over a decade.
Fading on the legs also indicate that tall boots were worn with it, taller than the standard combat boot.

IF you go jackboots, you'll want the old webbing and not the UTV. Although, I should snag the UTV since I have the UTV hat.

Jeez, that's big. I didn't know they did them in that style. Should have an easier time breaking them in.

They are meant to be worn with ridiculously thick woolen socks and equally thick insoles so that's why. They aren't as common but they are still really cheap (around 26 britbong dollars) for unused full leather boots.

Sandy vagina or just poor? Have you ever shopped anything else than surplus or kids Condor playsuits?
>>
>>31900647
>not paying 300 EUR for a jacket of very questionable quality means you're poor!

>>
>>31900674
Actually not having money to burn is the definition of poor.
>>
ALDI is most best grocer
>>
>>31900674
And that somehow makes Estonian made gear automatically crap quality? Just like anything made anywhere is crap because you know, stuff and things.

So it's just a case of the sandy vaginas, caused by no M05 hardshell for poorfags.

>>
>>31900818

>>
>>31900822

Estonian issue kit is horrendous (to the point that many guys buy Condor stuff to replace it), so the M05 gear produced by the very same factory is bound to suck just as hard.

You just went full retard if you really think there is one single military gear factory in Estonia. Like really full retard to the max.

FYI most Finnish issue camo (and some other gear too) is actually sewn in Estonia. There are at least four or five big Finnish companies that I know of who make gear for the FDF and run their own factories in Estonia. Quite probably none of those make anything for the EDF as they too have their own factories.
>>
>>31901365
Not him, but got me thinking. What would it really take to rob one of those factories.

I mean, I can't imagine security would be insanely high, maybe a few guards at night, max. You could snatch printed fabric, cut patterns, completed items, everything, and even more at companies that produce kit for multiple countries.
>>
>>31901433
Why would you when you can just buy or make the stuff yourself?

If someone (Russia) wanted to do some sabotage/false flag shit they wouldn´t send some cheeki breeki gang to loot Eesti camo factories. That would be silly and ineffective and therefore double silly.

But if you're just talking about fleshing out your own collection, well that makes more sense.
>>
>>31901214
Merk that you?
From the stuff I own, the actual Estonian clothing is pretty well made. From what I've heard, the gear is not.

>send some cheeki breeki gang to loot Esti camo factories

The only thing wrong with this is how it would be too much fun.

We should form a crew to rip factories all over. Minimal security, large quantities of loot, and the occasional bonus of experimental/prototype items.

End goal: Natick testing labs heist

h-how do east german belts work?
>>
>>31903413
There should be a clip-like thing on the interior of the buckle, so put it through your belt loops, then slide the end with the square loop behind and into the buckle, and pull back slightly so the tab goes through the hole.

Push ends together and unclip to separate.
