Some sort of blackpowder flintlock, maybe percussion cap, i can't tell with this picture.

Put bullets in it and fire them until you find one that works.

I found it in an abandoned house that's for sale by the bank. I spotted it by some bushes.

Looks like a Springfield Model 1888 single-shot breechloading rifle, based on the shape of the action and remains of the rear sight.

I found a little rail thing that goes on top of the ar15 carry handle. It's worn out and scratched up like a motherfucker, but maybe I'll actually use it some day.

The value of that item at auction probably wouldn't be worth the time it'd take them to send out a rep to pick it up. Not only that, but without many more items to put together into a lot, they'd probably never do anything with it at all except

a) leave it in the yard
b) toss it out
