I love mine.

I'm a sig fan boy but I understand why. Most major pistols don't have any real significant features nowadays to make the price be that much different, and sigs offer nothing that much better for the price. I still think they're comfy though. Also it doesn't feel comfy for a lot of people.

I don't like the trigger, recoil feel, bore axis. Even with the axis trigger.

I like heavy steel pistols but sigs doublestacks are always so bulky.

I like them more than I like Glock but I've never really liked Glock a ton so that's not saying much.

People ridicule Sig because of how they've become as a company in recent years. The combination of declining quality and obnoxious marketing that comes off as though it's trying to appeal to boys in middle school makes them and easy and justifiable target for everyone who's been let down by the American gun industry as of late.

I hate it and all new Sigs because the stainless slides start beating up the frame rails within the first 200 rounds and Sig is aware of this but refuses to come up with a solution. West German Sigs never had this problem, but Exeter shit has problems at every turn.

I will forever despise Sig for inventing the DAK and then convincing some fudd Captain in my department that "its safe like a revolver."

Functionally, it doesn't provide any advantage over many other pistols for sometimes more than half the price of a Sig.

The trigger is wholly inferior to what it should be for a pistol of its price point (this extends to the mk25, Legion series, X-Five, and X-Six as well). Too long in both modes, and too heavy in SA.

Nearly bought a Sig legion but saw how shit the quality control was that I decided not to and I'm happy I didn't. The magwell was also not even flared or beveled despite checkering being placed everywhere. The slide release and decocker also were extremely difficult to use in that they only engaged at the extreme end of travel. Mag release was too small.

I did think it shot nicely though

I've owned 3 P226's, and I want to like them, but I just don't. I had a W. German 9mm, a German .40 and an exetershit 9mm (my favorite of the bunch).
Here are some reasons I don't like them.
The older models with the removable breach are better looking, but the finish is garbage and at the machining is rough. They are uncomfortable in the hand, they would be greatly improved if they didn't have that fucking goiter in the grip for the decocker. They are expensive, which I don't mind so much, but the Mk25 should be $700 and the Legion should be $800. The trigger on the standard model is not great, the E2 grips are fucking awful (but cool looking). Also, they tend to not work that well unless they are wet with oil, the dirtier they get the more erratic the ejection.
