I need an assembled ar upper. Not the firearm part (aka lower). I'll be bringing a completed lower. But I need an upper for it. If someone wants to sell me one I'm looking in the $500-ish range, willing to pay more for muh Gucci if ppl have it.

So I guess 2 questions:
1) Creep, I know no selling of firearms but will you burst a vein over technically-not-a-firearm AR uppers being sold to me at NF? If so, I can just rely on serendipity to match me with a seller at a local gas station parking lot, totally by accident, of course.
2) anyone wanna sell me an AR upper? Needs to be complete and functional, not looking for anything specific at this point. By which I mean I'm looking for cheap.

Got my flares and stuffs at the beginning of the week.

Adapter for the 26.5mm Flares is a bitch because the launcher barrel doesn't slide forward far enough to put in the adapter OR a smoke round, so I have to release the barrel each time to change out smoke rounds which requires pin removal..... whatever I can make it work I'm just going to complain about it.

Hopefully I'll be testing each of the flares and smokes I have tomorrow evening. Red Triburst, Red Single, and Green Signal Flares, then Orange and Blue Smoke. Good Old Czech Surplus~

I am planning on bringing the Flammenwurfer. I figure Saturday night would probably be the best time as most people have arrived then. From what I recall the range parking area is all rocks and should be large enough for a crowd + safe distances for the flames. I will have 2 tanks and get enough gas for 2 refills so that should be rougly 2 minutes of run time. Don't know if everyone will get a chance, but I know a lot friends that have used it only last a few seconds before they get off.

This is a problem due to Anderson's amazing shipping times and not allowing me to pick up my shit in person (I work a mile away from them, so it's bullshit that I'd have to wait 2-3 weeks in the first place). The slant adapter was 45, the RPK clamp on handguard retainer was almost 70 from dinzagarms. I got a steal of a deal for the RPK furniture+gas tube for 100 shipped from russia. The Bipod is a PKM bipod which was about $100. Just an FYI, the 7.62x39 23" veprs do not come threaded. Without getting the barrel pulled and reprofiled, I was able to thread it in 15x1RH. All in all it was about 1150 total for this conversion. You can probably find an aes10b or an m72, but I did this project bit by bit and I love the heavy barrel it has. Loaded this thing is heavy af.

Well the Flares and the Smokes work so that's all gucci.

So we're shooting the smokes and flares at my GF's house because land, and I decide to show GF the slidefire stock by dumping a magazine. Led to a very odd malfunction but whatever.

I get like 10 rounds out of it before the malfunction, then I turn to set the rifle down after trying to clear (only made it worse) and there's a woman and a teenage boy, full Realtree with orange vests.

They claim that we were shooting over their heads in their deer blind....

Kidding. Bolt carrier seized up and got stuck about at 3/4 (4/4 being fully locked).
Try the typical drop mag and charge multiple times, only got the bolt carrier back to 2/4 and stuck there.

I didn't want to buttstroke it because of the slidefire, and it was dark so I just decided to pack up and diagnose later.

I had to take off the buffer tube, with the buffer spring compressed in order to get the leverage to pull the bolt carrier out.

Turned out something flexible and black got itself stuck in between the bolt cam pin and the gas key, and it was large enough to wedge the bolt carrier open.

Got that taken off and it runs fine now. Have no idea what it was, as it's too flexible to be carbon buildup (it's only had about 500 rounds through it anyway) and too flexible to be something plastic I have on my rifle.

Rifle runs fine now with dryfiring so idk.

Four season tent is best. You probably won't die with a three season (mine is a three season).

A good sleeping bag and ground mat. Mine is rated to 15°F with a self-inflating pad and I put a couple of wool blankets underneath that for extra insulation.

No cotton clothes. Jeans and tshirts won't cut it. Will is best. Synthetics are ok. Layers layers layers. Wear enough that you aren't cold but if you start sweating then remove layers. Good Warm waterproof boots and extra socks. You don't want frostbite.

Being nine meals worth of food or buy it once you're there. A cooler to keep it refrigerated. Some way to cook it.

I think it's 5 gallons of water per person per day. You can't have too much water.

Actually we did see a snake the weekend before during the "work party" that no one else showed up to. It was a baby copperhead laying on some lumber when we were scavenging to build the outhouse.
