Grew tired of my 2-tone P938 and sold it to buy a Sig P938 "Extreme." In my opinion, the P938 is the best subcompact pistol on the market. It's pocketable, based on the 1911, looks badass, feels great in the hand, has tritium sights, shoots like a full-sized pistol, it's 9mm, and has a lifetime warranty.

Is there a better pistol for concealed carry? I certainly can't think of one.

Opinions? Suggestions?

>has tritium sights

I used to think this was a good thing until I realized Trijicon HD's are the best tritium sights and you're just spending extra money for a meh front.

I would get the standard 3 dot ones and replace the sights with X-Rays since it is a Sig tbqh.
>>
>>31836965
Thanks for the suggestion. I honestly didn't even know about either of those sights. They seem really nice, I'll have to look into them.

Is that a CZ?
If so, good choice. I have a CZ PCR.

I was drinking a Schöfferhofer Hefeweizen.
Now I'm sipping a Sierra Nevada Kellerweis.
>>
>>31836965
I've got a 938, and I didn't even notice the night sights until about 3 days after I got it while I was playing with it in the dark.

What's better about the trijicon hds?

>>31837185
Trying out Bacardi 151 tonight, it's pretty meh, other than being kinda strong.
>>
>>31837284
Same thing as the Sig X-rays. They have a fiber optic front sight surrounding the tritium vial. Looks like they are more visible during the day.

Yeah my G26
>>

My only complaint is that the slide can be hard to grab in the event of a stovepipe due to it's design. Luckily, I've never had a malfunction.

reversable, not ambi
>>
>>31837507
their mag release can be swapped from left to right but it's not ambi, you do have the option of switching to a left handed configuration
>>
>>31836888
I want one of these, I wish they would come out with an all stainless steel model like on the p238.
>>
>>31837507
My old P938, a long time. This one hasn't been fired.

Quicker sight acquisition because of the photoluminescent front. Tritium vials work in the dark and the photoluminescent paint on the front sight draws your eyes to it in daylight conditions.

Oh, ok. I was wondering. I had looked up 85s before getting my 75, and I was starting to wonder how I missed that.

>>31837545
I was actually asking >>31837460 how long he had owned his 75/85.

I just picked up my 938 in March I think? I'm gonna start carrying it in January since missouri passed the constitutional carry bill.

Always wanted a Kel-Tec PF9. I just like the overall feel of the gun and it seems to make a pretty good CC.
And before anyone says it, I know
>kel-tec
>>
>>31837589
Ah, well that is also me lol. I've had my CZ 75 PCR for about 3 years. Chose it for the decocker.
>>

>>
>>31837619
I feel ya man, I've gotten the itch for a rdb or even an rfb, for a month or so now. I've been able to resist, but I'm not sure for how long.

I just saw a pmr in a local gun store, if I hadn't forgotten my wallet, I probably would've grabbed it.

I've got really bad impulse control.

>>
>>31837622
Nice, I was wanting to grab a decocking da/sa pistol for a while before I settled on a surplus 75. I don't really care for a pistol with a safety, but i guess having the option isn't bad.
>>
>>31837711
Compact-sized pistols get old after a while. With the P938, I can holster it, or pocket it. I don't have to wear a belt to carry. They say the best pistol for CC is one you carry every day. For me, the 938 is that.
>>
>>31837742
I'm confused. Isn't the 938 a compact/subcompact?
>>
>>31837742
Same for me and the 238. Thing is handy as fuck. Throw it in my kydex IWB holster and slap that shit under my pants and I'm good to go. If the pants are right, my DeSantis superfly works great too.

Love that little gun. Feels great in the hand, good controls, and it shoots like a dream.
>>
>>31837783
It's a subcompact, which is smaller than a compact.
>>
>>31837793
Ah right, thanks for clarifying.
Used to thing subcompact was actually larger than compact.

Blue mooon

it represents the blueness in my balls while getting me quite drunk after 3 weeks of not drinking
>>
>>31837787
I carried with a DeSantis sticky holster exclusively for the past year. Can't beat it in terms of comfort. I just ordered a "Sticky Holster" branded holster, we'll see how it works.

>getting me quite drunk after 3 weeks of not drinking
I haven't had a drink in 7 months. I wonder how fucked up I'd get.
>>

>>

The Sig p238 HD model is the best CC gun

The HD model is all Stainless steel, so it is a bit heavier, and it shoots the .380 so its a little less kick than the 938, these two things combined make it the best out of the ~40 versions of the P238 that they have

The size difference is marginal but the knockdown power of the 9mm vs the .380 is substantial.

You'd only know a 938 is bigger than a 238 if you held them side-by-side. Unless you're a woman, why would you choose the .380 over the 9mm?

found your problem

Seriously though, I'm about to buy a 2nd P938 myself. Except I'm not so poor that I have to sell mine first
>>
Sig quality isn't what it used to be.
>>
>>31838377
I agree about the grips.
I didn't HAVE to sell it. One of my friends wanted one and I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to get a new variant.
>>
>>31838388

>>31838398
That makes it better - pretty much the only circumstance in which I'm okay selling a gun is when it's to a close friend/family.

>>31838388
sad but true. I'm hoping that by now any new P938 will have the redesigned mainspring housing. Had to send mine off at one point to get it swapped out. Not that I ever had any problems - the gun actually far exceeded my expectations of reliability after firing & cycling with an unseated mag

It sounds awesome because 30 rounds of .22 mag in a flush fit pistol sounds great on paper, but the capacity is kinda void when you consider the fact that since it's a rimfire, you'll be losing unfired ammo simply because all the malfunctions you'll have to be clearing.

So basically 22 out of 30 rounds will actually be shot. Still, it's only a .22 mag. Maybe if it was a .32 with 25 rounds you'd get a better outcome.
>>
why do image board browsers have absolute dog shit taste in alcohol? what the fuck guys, blue moon, bacardi 151, schofferhoffer?
>>
>>31836888
I would agree with you if they didn't have so many issues, sweet shooting guns when everything goes right.
If you find it slips in your hand ever while shooting, the hogue grips are amazing, really locks it to your grip.
