I don't give a shit if there isn't any sporting purpose a particle accelerator. Okay, so it would vaporize a deer. The 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting.

Outworld fag visiting inner collonies

thinking of picking up a Colt-Steyr Light rail Rifle. Should I get the 3.5mm or the 4.2mm version?

Whats the ideal armature length for multipurpose use? Theres not a terrible much in terms of close quarters on my rock, but I do some innacave and raiders in my spice farm is a concern.

Pic related, ive been rocking my great-great-grandpas combustion rifle recently. Brings a smile to his face seeing it still get use. I managed to buy a gross of 44,325 rounds last cycle for it but im down to 19k from the season.
>>
>>31827226
Just picked up my dual heavy laser turrets and fixed the propulsion problem for my personal deep space corvette. Finally I can start taking on bigger privateer or security contracts for mining companies. Last time I went out with just missiles I nearly got blown to bits by pirates.

Anyone ever had similar problems with pirates en route to Titan? Every time I get a patrol contract from the Mars trade association I get attacked by goddamn space rats.

>>31827365
they do, Titan isn't that bad as long as you bring a private fighter/transport on the freighter. It's not that the way is extremely dangerous, but it's incredibly expensive to buy one there since all the major manufacturers are in Mars/Earth
>>
>>31827384
Not taking it in 7mm. Like you want to watch your rounds punch through everything like needles. You are talking projectiles here, things that fuck shit up(fuck off censor, I did reeducation) at those speeds it just punches through like a needle.
>>
>>31827422
It's too bad to see Titan the way it is. Such promise for it,then the Poo in Loos had to think they belong in space

Certain quadrants in Titan are actually quite nice. I suggest you visit New Vancouver, it's really nice and if you wanna invest in property that's the place. Even since the Triads were kicked out it's gotten much nicer, not to mention that they manage to get real sushi there. No fucking clue how they manage to get that shit so far away from earth.

Greeting from the Frontier. Got a question for you guys:

We found a derelict cargo ship hanging around one of the colony systems and saw no signs of the crew. Weird thing was the bio-scanners were off the charts.

When we went in we found pic related all over the place. Command wants us to tow the ship back to port for further study but I was curious if any of you know what these are?
>>
>>31827539

Only two so far in a pair, fucked up a perimeter fence real good but I got em.

didnt know what they were I dropped off the haul this cycle. Some weird stuff leaking into the outer sectors. Rumor has it we'll have SATNET in a few months. I dont mind, but feels like the system is getting smaller.
>>
>>31827567
Keep telling yourself that, kiddo. Them machines know exactly how to trick you into thinking you're the real you when you pop out of em.

Doesn't make much of a difference in the long run though.
>>
>>31827592

oh shit nigger you struck gold

no idea what happened to the crew but those eggs are from an harmless species from planet D3L1-C10S, and they're a rare delicacy back in the inner worlds. The chinks on Europa will pay a fortune for that
>>
>>31827592
I wouldn't worry about it, It's probably just some weird space fungus. Have it cleaned up and you could sell the ship for a pretty penny.

Some garden variety Chordatefungal that lives in small packs of 8-12, usually lays a clutch of 80-100+ spores (less "lays" more "plants") that release around 40-60 sols, then need to find a host. They're toxic, so be careful, and theyre mean. Only about 1.4 meters but upwards of 40-50 kilos and they'll grope the shit out of you.

Eh, I'd sweep and clear. You don't know what kind of funky shit you'll find on those old ships sometimes. Had one that had an infestation of some sort of furry mammal. Looked kinda like a biped but they had a tail and would run on all fours as often as on two legs. They loved throwing what I'm pretty sure was fecal matter at us. Ended up towing the ship out of the atmosphere to kill the fuckers. Even after that when we were cleaning out the bodies we'd find the occasional group that managed to get into an air tight compartment.

That said, >>31827654 is right. I sold that ship and got enough for a stupidly rare antique. Holo related. Far as I can tell it's about 1100 years old.
>>

So, bit of an update here:

Bob from accounting (one of us called in sick) decided to be a dumbass and brought a trolley full of the things onboard our patrol ship.

Next thing we know one of them cracks open and this spider thing jumps on one of the labor mechs and starts humping the thing in the face. Kinda funny in hindsight.

We cut the thing off, cracked the pods open and shoved the little creepy shits into cryo-tubes.

My question I guess is, are they worth anything? Might make a cute pet to someone.
>>
>>31828055

Burn bob.
>>
>>31828055

>>
>>31828055
I dunno. I'd keep a few around, try to preserve a breeding pair if you can. Otherwise I'd kill most of them. If they're edible sell them as a delicacy. If they aren't, well the low supply will ensure the best prices. But if you also have a low demand, then you won't lose much when selling. Then since you have the only breeding pair (at least, I've never seen anything like this and I can't find anything on the SATNET) you don't really have to worry about competition.

0080 War In the Pocket
0079 Mobile suit Gundam (some people find it hard to get passed the animation but I found it charming)

My friend, Halcyon class ships are about 500 years old. They work if you're willing to put the effort into them but otherwise it's probably not worth it. Frankly most of the money I've made, I put right back into the ship for repair costs and retro-fits so it can remain competitive. She's a good ship but she probably isn't going to last another 100 years. I'm still paying off the loans for the engine upgrades and those were almost 50 years ago. Though to be fair if you get lucky, you can get a lot of raw materials while exploring which will definitely help offset the costs. Hell, most of the raw materials I have in my hold are promised to my debtors. The rest should provide a nice retirement package for me and my crew.

>Europium bullion
It's value as a raw material is all that matters. Raw materials are king next to the Imperial Standard Dollar. If you have enough you could at least buy an apprenticeship on a ship like mine.

If you're thinking about it I'll tell you two things
Get your will in order, you'll most likely die the first time we meet hostile xenos.
Don't get married until you retire.

I will never get you fucking caliber queens.

The "government" that adopted the Mk. 906 is hardly a fucking government as it is, recognized only by the Hellsokans and fucking Bodero, the two nations states you'll note funded the revolution in the first place.

Secondly just because they use some old archaic measuring unit and not the IS base-ten system doesn't make them cool or defiant, it makes them dumb.

Thirdly, .30 caliber was outdated by the middle of the 20th century, what makes you think suddenly going back to it makes sense?

Fourth, what kind of self respecting government issues still land-and-grooved weapons as standard that's not an EM storm hellhole?

Fifth, what is low-grav situations? You want to use a land and groove weapon in low grav, or no grav? Is this 2116? Should I get my M5A1 out and get ready to tow line to a PLAN frigate for a boarding mission? Maybe I should grab my AK-90 and get wait for my Komissar to tell me to climb Mount Narodnaya.

Do you remember the United Republic of New Terran Colonies? Back in the 2300's they controlled most of what is now the Outer Reach colony sector. The story goes that their main planet: Icarus was wiped out after an infestation.

It seems that you have stumbled upon one of their Alpha 21 series cargo ships. Get a complete biological hazard decontamination and make sure to "accidentally" leave any members who have been in direct contact with these beings on the ship.

Release the docking clamps.

Then remotely access the ship systems and override the lockdown system using this code: ICARUS_HAS_FALLEN

Then simply select a file named: Protocol_0451

The Nanotrite micro fusion reactors in the ship will overload and the entire ship will be atomized.

I doubt they told you in your cult what double hitler dubs mean, or who hitler is, but it means you're probably going to have a very bad time for going on the galactic holonet from your space cult compound. Your prophet Soros's god Moloch was defeated by KEK and the golden crusader, pronounced in his native High German Drumph, in the long lost year of 2016. I guess some of you got off planet and inbred like rabbits after the great privatized space exodus of 2060 when humanity left earth as a wildlife refuge for native species like Deer, Duck, elk, muslims, Africans, etc.

I don't get how they stay in business. those stoner clones keep murdering or raping people/replicants. must be something wrong with thier mix, but goddamn do those clones make a good firearm design given the right information and victims. the 3016 is the tits despite being 50 years old. no other plasma rifle can compete. Now that it's out of copyright all that's keeping them afloat is that damn pony rollmark on their lowers.

Guys why dont we just reactivate the Battlestars. I know we have faster ships with plasma and lazer ffrs, but the battlestars were designed to take massive hits in engagements and no other ship in tje fleet has the nuclear arsenal Battlestars do. > inb4 1 Correllian corvete could warp in and destroy the 300mm gfcs and nuke deployment modules. To that I would say > what is the CAP Also its not like we would send her in alone she would be the flagship protected by put our own lazer cruisers and we can even give her shields. She just has the orbital bombardment capabilities that these new lazer and plasma based ships dont have.

My dad says we're Phobes, and even displays the Phobosadler in his livingroom, but I don't believe a word of it.

I bought a positively ancient Phobe carbine from this shifty little dude wearing a gas mask, but I have no idea how to operate that thing beneath the barrel.

Any ideas what that is?

It's an underbarrel quantum burst device.

If you pull the lower trigger on the SAR 20 a charge is released that destabilizes quantum particles. It was mainly used to breach blast doors or used as a close range weapon with a spray effect similar to a ScatterBolt Plasma Caster.

Pssh, just deploy gravlifters. They don't have noisy plasma engines or visible ion trails, they run off radioelectric cells and can carry almost as much as a normal atmospheric craft. They were undetectable during the orbital assault campaigns over Norgaul Prime.

Drop pods and shuttles generate reentry heat, but the gravlifts towed behind them drifted in without being detected. Sure they're uncontrollable at high altitudes, take hours to reach the surface and suffered 80% casualties upon landing but we should ditch modern plasma jet/grav hybrids and go back to purely gravlift craft. It's cheaper and more efficient. Why waste money on engines when you can just build more gravlifts and train more people to make up for the losses? Gravlifts worked in the past and are the way of the future.

Old New New York has a few trees I hear from the ancient days. There used to be a massive forest called Middle Park there, but I think the remaining forest is actually in what was Duracell Park. My friend lives nearby and always goes innawoods there.
I believe 3 or 4 trees is actually a forest.

Just inherited a genuine Ruger Security Six from grandpa, when he passed away at the ripe old age of 185. It has been in the family since the beginning of time. I think it was built some time around 1975 or so.

The amazing thing is that it still works. I found ancient fabcode for the ammo, and ran up some .357 ammo in my home fabber. Then I tried it out. It worked perfectly.

One thing though. I forgot that unlike current lasers and particle beams, these ancient projectile weapons have something called "kick'. Quite the surprise.

That's too bad man. I mean, didn't you ever want to want to travel like your ancestors would? Just fucking knock a hole in slipspace and fly in. Those old drives were so simple, if you tweaked the wiring a bit you'd have a bomb. I don't know, I just think the simple brutality of it is kind of beautiful, using a cudgel to break light speed like a barbarian.
>>
>>31844560
Simple, they kept a bunch in storage just in case. You know how the government can be some times. Then about 100 years ago they decided to put one up for sale. While I didn't have the cash to buy it outright, I was able to broker a deal. I'd go and explore the cosmos and bring back rare and new things, in return I get my own ship. Just gotta keep an eye out for government supply sales and be willing to negotiate.

>>31844607
Well, we still basically knock a hole in space. We're just a lot more efficient. Besides, we spend a ton of time sub-light, so having fast and efficient engines for that is a must.
>>
>>31844226
