Just why?

To hold tiny eggs in after you shot them off.
You don't want a .50 bullet going 600fps anon?

With a rainbow trajectory like that, I'd be better off just running up and using a knife at anything past 20 metres.
>>31825120
more like how the fuck do you load them?
Tactical buttplugs

They are 5,56 casings expanded with dies for .45 and .50.
Yeah dude, more thrusts per squeeze.
Did anyone read forever war?
It's a sci-fi novel that's kind of similar to starship troopers. Anyway, there's this technology that creates a field that only allows a certain rate of speed for anything inside it. As a setpiece it's used to make these odst type guys fight aliens with swords and bows.
These would only be useful in that exact situation
Simply because someone wanted to see if they could. Don't ask why in the gun world.

That sounds like the personal shielding concept from Dune. Would stop attacks at a certain speed, so you had to use a knife or similar to pass it.

to get great innovations in anything you must also have some bad ones
At first I thought those were bullets that had an extra piece that would extend down into the casing.
I don't find the realization that they are necked up full cartridges any less puzzling.

to increase capacity, duh.
>>31825120
Couldn't these actually work if you built a bolt that could encompass the entire casing?

it is by will alone I set my mind in motion

they do this in dune as well. but in my humble opinion the forever war is one of the best representations possible of space combat bar none.
