yes, just torrent solidworks and get the crack, watch a video of someone making something on youtube and follow along. I made an AR15 lower receiver on a second monitor and kept pausing to recreate it. Youll have a good feel for it by the end and just keep making shit as you think of it. That's what I've been doing over the last year or so and I like to consider myself pretty good at Solidworks

What I have is in there. These models are only what could be considered close enough to function. There are full CAD models of the VAL but I don't want to buy them because they don't contain models of internal parts. Check out artofwar3d
