More than enough to obliterate a house. Black powder explosions weren't exactly rare in history. One during the Siege of Almeida in 1810 was one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history.

If you look at the bottom of the article, it actually lists the top eight largest in human history, and the N1 Rocket explosion is last at 1 kiloton.

The largest by far is Minor Scale, when the US military blew up 4 kilotons worth of TNT to simulate a small nuclear explosion after testing bans prevented the use of a real nuke.
