We have airshows and have soldiers/airmen/Marines/sailors carry flags at every single sporting event. Also have jets fly over sporting events. Also have military presence on most universities via ROTC. We worship the military on TV and with little holidays. We don't need parades because its already a part of our daily lives.

american drill is just not very exciting to watch because it's very lazy. Even Canada loves its military involvement in parades because Canadian military drill is pretty sharp. It's still not that great, but it's something more than other parade groups do.

yeah here in canada you still do it through your trades course, and then in general forevermore

it's usually only coming to attention and back at ease and some marching, but parades are common. Changes of command are super common too, which require march-passes, which are easy, but still at the very least require marching in time and swapping arms and saluting in time and such.

it really does show the difference between US and Canadian doctrine. Canada believes in training everyone to a base level so anyone can do anything worth doing. The US seems to believe in hyper-focused specialization. Canadian drill is easy and the most you're ever asked to do is present arms (which is v easy), but parades are pretty big and it's a point of pride to put as many people out as possible to do them. The US barely demands you know how to tie your own shoes, but maintains small but incredibly impressive drill teams who can flip their rifles around according to a metronome and shit for things like state funerals.
