I have here 2 knives marked Camillus. One is genuine nam navy issued, the other recently bought.
My question is the questionable one just a camillus knife made in the 90s as a nod to their past or totally fake
Right one is real, look at those wear marks.

Camilus made mkiis for a long time, some for military contract and some for the civilian market

Grind is different
I have two Camillus knives. One is a Ka-Bar like the one on the left. Both of those knives hold an edge incredibly well for how inexpensive they were.

Yea left has a secondary bevel, right bevel is all the way to a single razor edge

Correct, the wear makes it a bit obvious.
Also note how crisp the lines defining the flat, swedge, and "blood groove"

Left is your "fake". Looks newer than "nam navy issue" to me.
Don't see why it would matter. What do you even mean by a fake?

Since the original Camillus is an amazing knife, I wanted to get another one that I could use without remorse (orignal was grandfathers, having sentimental value)

Okay, then baby the original and just abuse the shit outta the other one. Still don't see why it would matter if it was "fake". It's either a Camillus and it gets the job done or it isn't and doesn't.
Kabar shaped knives are fucking terrible teenbro shit
the both look like shitty knives

the purchase was sold as a genuine mark 2

I too have a knife from nam, my grandpa carried it in his boot through the war.

>blood groves
nice meme fag its called a fuller and has nothing to do with blood. Its just for balance and saving of material.(it also cuts down on vibrations but that's really a sword thing).

Except its what the government issued soldiers in the war.
"teenbro" tell that to a veteran see how cool you look
>>31791765
yea notice the " " framing blood groove
no shit

Well you see, that's some important context that was missing in the OP.
Not a bad knife. Paid $20.00 for it new in the 80's. Used it camping all over the place. Batoned the hell out of it- I guess it never got the message that it was supposed to break.
