>>
Im stuck in upstate NY and I am seriously considering getting a setup like this

The stock does have a certain cyberpunk look that I like but the funny thing about the SAFE act compliant stuff is it actually makes it harder to reach the goddamn safety
>>
you fags are delusional and in denial

I'm from Texas and I'm actually quite jealous of how cool featureless guns look. Californians are actually inventing new and interesting designs that no one would have came up. These regulations are pushing manufacturers to further evolve the AR rather than being stuck in the milspec past.

I very much intend to build a featureless AR-15 as my personal ranch rifle.

Fellow NY'er here, I shot some rifles set up like this at my range and to me the grip is really uncomfortable with the angle it's at and the space for your thumb. For my AR I bought the spur grip with the finger rest trigger guard and while it looks like the gun was neutered, to me it's more comfortable to use once you find that right grip.

I always thought the U-15 was an elegant solution to the problem.

I'm surprised Hollywierd hasn't used it in amovoe yet
>>
>>31791885
I don't care about therest, but I've been trying to find out where the handguard comes from. It's maddening. There's no info on this thing anywhere.

I always thought the ar15 redesigned with the Montecarlo stock was very sexy. Too bad it messes up the ergonomics
>>
I honestly don't see a problem with this particular cuck device

Other than autistic spaghetti about muh freedom, you still get the same grip as you would with any old rifle and you still get a reasonable shoulder and cheek weld

Why is that stock even a thing?
A solid A1 or A2 stock isn't a Scary child killer feature.
>>
>>31792776
It's not the stock. It's the pistol grip.
>>
>>31791353
>futuristic
weird way to spell gay
>>
>>31792119
Wrong. You can't actuate the safety off "fire" to 'safe' without taking your hand off.

also Texasfag, so did I until I actually bought one. Looks much better converted into a semi-G36
>>
>>31791353

Of course it does. At this point, our grandchildren will be paying $10k for those neutered abominations as "pre-ban assault rifles".
>>
These are better desu senpai.

They work with any upper too.
>>
>>31792860
....where's the safety lever?

I see the pin, just not the lever. Is it on the right side or is it a button?
>>
>>31793415
It's a cross-bolt safety located on the trigger guard similar to a Remington 870.
>>
>>31793415
Good question. I don't own one and I have no idea.
>>
>>31793426
Oh shit, didn't see it
>>
>>31792860
why do people not like this?
>>
>>31793632
I don't know. Maybe a reliability issue with the re-engineered bolt carrier? I wasn't aware they weren't liked.

I'm probably going to end up buying one sooner rather than later anyway because LOL COMMIEFORNIA.
>>
>>31792860
Do they have any of these in wood furniture? It could be cool to pick up desu.
>>
>>31793735
Yes, I believe so.
>>
>>31792798
>>31792776
Personally I find the thumbhole stock/pistol grip the sexiest workaround.

>>31791376
Fellow upstater in the 607 I got it and it is very good I have small hands and it's not hard to reach the safety
>>
>>31793782
I can't speak for New York but in California thumbhole stocks are considered pistol grips.
>>
>>31792798
You can keep the pistol grip though.
Remove the flash hider and do a fixed magazine.
>>
>>31793746
any chance you would know where to pick one up? or what to search on google? I honestly don't know what it would be called.

Ares SCR. I believe discontinued? Uses a special bcg and lower, I believe everything else is interchangeable
>>
>>31793964
Well the lower itself is the Ares SCR. As for the wood stock, it might be custom. A basic Google search hasn't turned up anyone who sells them with wood.
>>
>>31794030
If I'm not mistaken it uses an adapter and an 1100 stock
>>
>>31793992
Not discontinued, re-engineered. The gen 1 models were apparently kinda shitty, with a crap trigger and no bolt hold open. The new gen 2 ones evidently fixed the trigger and added a bolt hold open.
>>

Same here in Nuevo York

M14 Remington Scumbag Edition
>>
I live in commifornia, and have one BB'd gun and one FRS-15 stock gun. I don't mind how the FRS looks, but it feels terrible to use becuase of my baby hands.

I'm moving though, so fuck that shit, I already sold it.
>>
>>31791353
it does have kind of a Barbarella vibe. Just add some silver paint and a couple rhinestones, and you're set.
>>
They're incredibly awkward to shoot. Being a NY LEO I actually posed the question of, will we switch to SAFE Act compliant ARs?, during a meeting. I almost got laughed out of the place. The range officers basically flat out said they refuse to qualify anyone with these pieces of shit.
>>
>>31791975
Huh. The second one actually looks pretty nice.
>TFW live in Ca
>>
>>31793976
Serious question, how do you hold this? Do you press it to your shoulder with your non-dominant hand and simply pull the trigger with your dominant one? Use the trigger guard as a support for the fingers of your dominant hand?
>>
>>31794488
Basically you hold it like it was a hunting rifle but without using the thumb on the firing hand. Backwards pressure from the support hand and a little from the firing hand (not much since there isn't anything to push back on) keeps it in the shoulder
>>
>>31794463
>tfw live in CA as well

Chin up buddy, you know what they say, It's always darkest before the light dies completely, and you drown in eternal night.
>>
>>31792860
where does the bolt go once fired?
>>
>>31794488
>>31794510
Oh and if you have enough room between buffer tube and the not a grip you can wrap your thumb around it. It's not as good as a normal pistol grip but at least it allows some control. It's legal because the web of the thumb is above the trigger.
>>
>>31794528
Has a rat tail kind of like a fal and a shortened bcg
>>
>>31794135
>Being a NY LEO
County or State? How much a fuck do you and your colleagues give about enforcing SAFE?
>>
>>31794488
what >>31794531 said there is a gap between the buffer tube and the grip that lets you wrap your thumb around it.

given the alternatives it isn't actually awful
