I'm in one of the largest universities in the country and I have yet to encounter the Xir pronoun ultra lib prof. The "worst" I've encountered was an old poly sci professor who was an actual hippy who was actually fairly conservative. The majority of my professors would probably be described as center right.

There's a lack of conservative faculty and researchers in, for example, Sociology, but STEM leans heavily conservative. And in my experience poly sci seems to be closer to center or center right.
