>inb4 they are outdated
Cozy as fuck.

Cozy as hell but they're level 100 autism to wear in public
>>31766820
>they're level 100 autism to wear in public
sadly this. Unless you live in a cozy wilderness town where everyone is anti social and too introverted to care what you wear
>>31767056
No one cares what you wear, other than a boss I guess (has to be workplace approprate) anywhere. Wear whatever the fuck you want and accept the consequences that most people think its strange. They wouldnt want to be your friend ANYWAY so what difference does that make?
I see people wearing those all the time, and they don't look that bad. At least it's not a flecktarn parka
>>31766496
I love sweaters. They're good for winter.
Why are you for fashion advice friend?
Very comfy, however someone in their infinite wisdom ordered V-necks so people would be forced to wear uncomfortable issued plastic shirts and ties instead of a t-shirt. So a scarf in winter is a must.

>Why are you for fashion advice friend?
I was just wondering if they are comfy and practical to wear
>>31767163
wore mine to school the other day. am i fucked for the rest of the year?
>>31767289
There good as long as you don't need anything in your shirt pockets
I got a police surplus one of these while I was in Argentina, and man does it keep you warm while it's freezing cold out

Pretty cool, though the G.I. five-button sweater is superior.
I've got the triple aught design special service sweater and it's comfy as fuck.
Personally I wouldn't a surplus one just due the the nylon patches, I think they look tacky as fuck.
The TAD sweater looks great with both jeans or dress slacks.
Only downside is you can't really wear a collared shirt underneath do to the permanent tall collar and shedding of the wool
Am I the only one that finds them really itchy?
>MFW Florida
>MFW it never stays cold for longer than maybe 3 days.
>MFW I see no point in buying a sweater to wear for less than a month worth of time.
At least I dont need a summer and winter woredrobe.
>>31767473
Damn that looks good. God knows you can pull mad wool wearing that.
>>31767056
Nah, you could pull one off in a place like Seattle.
>>31766820
Fine over a collared shirt and tie, especially if you have v-neck one.
cozy af
>>31766496
Hope CPD hires me before they do away with them.
>>31766496
They can be itchy.
The only people that wear this are my Polish brethren and I.
Slavs are stuck in the 90's.
Xcom as fuck.
>>31766820
even to the range?
>>31767811
>this
Live in Seattle. Could honestly wear this and would be the least autistic looking person within a 3 mile radius
>>31766820
If you seriously care about what constitutes as "autism" to wear then you should really consider suicide.
>>31767289
only shorts are comfy and practical to wear.
>>31766496
>dont operate at me or my son ever again
>>31766496
I look terrible in them but I use them as an underlayer for a flannel anyway because small town life never moved past the 90s so it doesn't look that weird.
I have one in merino wool, that I picked up for a few bucks at a thrift shop. It's cozy.
It's not like it's a Soviet greatcoat or something. It's not even recognizable as militaria to most people.

>>31766820
Are you kidding me? That's like saying a peacoat is "autistic" to wear. They're one of a number of military items that have been absorbed into normal clothing and get made for and worn by utterly normal people all the time.
The commando sweater form is nearly perfect functionally: flexible, temperature regulating knit wool with tougher, abrasion resistant woven fabric where knit wool tends to get holes in use. Dead simple, sometimes you see them with a useful added partial placket or pocket.
I've got one from the original British wooly pully maker, forget the name, and one in alpaca wool from Patrick Ervell.

What are the shoulderpads for?
>>31776185
I guess so the sling of your rifles won't rub too hard against your shoulder
>>31771751
>>31767811
For fukken sure.
I live in Toronto and this is nothing.
In fact I have a couple wooly pullies, and I think nothing of wearing one out. I'll probably wind up sitting between a full-blown goth and batman on the subway anyways, so may as well dress comfy.
Same rationale behind wearing milsurp around town. Why bother giving a fuck. Noone else does.
>>31767843
>v-neck one
>>31766496
Have a green British milsurp one, fucking love it, warm as fuck and comfy.
I don't care how autistic it makes me look, it's just way too comfy and works too well not to wear it in the winter.
