Yes, as I am poor and a student and ammo purchases are few and far between but I still like to go shoot.

Also, should I buy a smooth-bore bolt-action shotgun in .410 for $150?

20yrs ago I had an SKS and a shit ton of steel core chink ammo, and it was so gloriously cheap I never even considered the price as i blazed away...

I definitely don't miss being that age when it comes to buying power.
Also, nobody can make that purchase decision for you, either you want it or you don't. I'd sooner get a 22cal pellet rifle with nice irons for near infinite cheap plinking in your situation.
Even with my collection, I use that more than everything else combined.
