Not op but th try and hijack/steer this thread into a useful one.

Obiously the plastic bolt shroud is a Gen 1 feature whereas the Gen 2 (in ops pic) comes with an aluminium shroud from the factory.

Has anyone seen both and compared what the Gen 2 shroud is like vs the aftermarket?

The aluminum shroud is one of three new options, it isn't stock iirc.

Yeah its a fine rifle, it is a joy to shoot, and for just over 1k I thought I got plenty for my money. So far Ive taken it to 700, as thats as far as my current arrangements will allow me to take it, but soon, Ill take it to 1000+
