359 out of 400. It is self explanatory

Sell it: you're not a fucking prodigy at this from the start, so you're obviously not cut out for this. Don't fool yourself.
>>
>>31756414
Everything from the Cx4 is really low because I was shooting right-handed with my left eye and a red dot. Parallax meant everything went low.

I meant a red dot sight. I would've taken it off if I could, but it was a range rental and I didn't feel like getting kicked out. You did well for your first time, keep practicing though.

This is the first time in 30 years of life that I have ever seen someone use those numbers on paper targets to score their shooting.

That's a 25 meter pistol target so you did pretty good for a first timer.

Learn to stop or at least reduce flinching and blinking while you shoot. Impact low left on a right handed shooter's target is always flinching and jerking the trigger.

Pic related, 10 meters. There's a few flinches but I tried my hardest to keep it in the center. My first time shooting after a year without any practice.
>>
>>31756968
What about breathing? Any tips on dat?
>>
>>31757075
Breathe normally, shoot during natural pauses with empty lungs, if you must hold your breath to do precision shooting faster than your breathing rate, exhale and stop halfway so there's less pressure in your lungs than with the "giant gulp of air and try to hold it in" method.

How's the weather in Romania?

Ive never really scored targets properly for competition but Im pretty sure you are doing it completely incorrectly. 359/400 points. So you scored a 90? What if you get all shots inside the 10? is that a 1075/400?

Is that your first time ever shooting a handgun? if so, you are doing good keeping most if not all shots on paper. Thats a good start and now its time to work on the finer parts of making a good shot and start shrinking that group down to 2 inch(5cm)

If you've shot before but this is your first time with that particular handgun- I wouldn't be proud of it and go posting that online. 9" is more of a "pattern" than a group.
>>
>>31757242
Weather is bad, raining all day mostly
I had 40 bullets and thought that if i land all of them on the center (10) it would give me the score of 40x10=400, but as you can see, i didnt
>>
>>31757242
I mean i prolly goofed the calculating style, so please enlighten me on how i should do it
>>
Are you guys even allowed to own an HK45?
>>
>>31757415
We are allowed to have semi-auto M4s
>>
>>31757384
You did it right for easy/casual scoring, he's just being nitpicky.

Most competitions use five shot or ten shot strings, with target changes every five or ten shots.

That way scoring is out of 50 or 100 for easy percentage calculation.
>>
>>31757384
Do negative taping every ten shots since you're not so terrible you miss the paper.

Tape any hole that's less than 10, but leave the 10 holes alone.

Every ten shots retrieve the target, count the lower hits, tape them up with a roll of paper masking tape, and the remaining rounds you weren't able to count went through the ten ring.
>>
>>31757384
Well, haha to be honest I couldnt tell you. Its hard to say without sounding like a dick but I guess what I was going for was "359/400 or a 90% score sure doesn't sound right for such a crappy target" Sorry to critique your shooting but I guess you wouldn't have come here if you weren't expecting some of that would you? But also as I said if this is your first time firing any gun or specifically handgun, that is a good target for your first time ever. It shows you grasp the basic concepts of shooting and you are quickly on your way to nice small groups.
>>
>>31757450

What about pistols?
>>
>>31757528
I came here because of constructive criticism, i want to improve myself, i want to be better at shooting and thats why i want to make it a monthly thing
>>
>>31757489
I see,thanks
>>
>>31757544
It ranges from Carpati to Makarov to SIGs, Glocks, HKs, Bull Compacts, Snub revolvers, your usual concealable stuff
>>
>>31756743
Literally just practice until you have one ragged hole ~2-4" in diameter and some fliers.

The only people who use the numbers are cops/security and some competitions that need a metric like "_/100".

The 9ring on a full torso silhouette is like 6" by 12"
>>
>>31757450
>>31757579

Ah, I was of the understanding that you guys had UK tier laws, amd were the strictest in eastern europe
>>
>>31757619
We are pretty strict, getting M4s or Augs is very costly, rare and almost impossible and will surely put you on a watchlist. Pistol is more lax to get, ammo is expensive everywhere here
>>
>>31756396
>10 meters
You can do so much better anon, I rarely don't connect holes at anything below 15 meters, and I only shoot a few times a year. Practice sight picture, trigger control, breathing, etc with a thumb tack on the wall at home. When you pull the trigger, neither your rear sights nor front sights should move. Keep practicing, you'll get better. I also suggest having a friend load a mag with dummies hidden. Clearing a f2f and getting back on the same hole is difficult for many to do, but it'll give you a clear idea of where your sights should always be and how they should always look.
>>
>>31757603
Thanks for the advice
>>
>>31757676
Also, if you can connect holes at 15-20 yards, you can at 10, so push that target out.
>>
>>31757700
Thanks, noted kind sir
>>
>>31757676
What pistol? Results out of a Glock with the stock 7 pound trigger will vary wildly from an X-Five, tuned bullseye 1911, or a target revolver.
>>
>>31757720
I do that with anything between a 3 inch barrel sig 938 to a 4 inch sig p229. My hk p2000sk and usp both do it as well. Need to adjust p2000sk front sight post though. I never liked glock, the fact it can't fight gravity and the concept of "limp wristing" almost exclusively applies to glock brand pistols pisses me off. Also, shit triggers, always have ejector problems requiring aftermarket parts, etc.
>>
>>31757551
still haven't heard yet- is this your first time ever shooting a handgun or your first time with that particular firearm?

When I got my first handgun(357 snub) I was shooting about the same for a few months- 6-8" groups at 15 yards with 38spl ammo. After a while my group size did go down but I learned that a snub is just really hard to do well. I developed a love for full size pistols and specifically revolvers. Most all of my handgun shooting is done at 12-15 yards and Im pretty happy shooting 2" groups offhand without much effort. even 357, 44 and 500 mag I'll keep 2" or under. There are plenty of people that are much better shots than me but I believe im accurate enough to be practical. my 100yd 300blk groups are 3-4". I know many people get less than 1". Im not sure what I would ever need that accuracy for but im accurate enough to have fun and hit what im shooting at.
>>
>>31757784
>all guns with great single action triggers
I know what you mean now. I've pulled off some good 25 meter slow-fire X-ring hits with my Beretta 92FS.

Hitting the mark is much easier with SA than with any striker fire, even HK and Walther ones with "great" triggers.

Unfortunately the ubiquity of Glocks and XDs are diluting the standards, and I actually like my G19 as a pure combat tool.

>>31757820
He refers to himself in OP as a "first-timer" so I'm assuming this was him losing his gun virginity.
>>
>>31757820
It is first time, i popped cherry
>>
>>31757861
Good job then man, Thats some good shooting for a first timer especially with a 45. Keep up the good work and try to improve a little each time
>>
>>31757988
Thank you, should i keep the 10m for next month or should i go with more?
>>
>>31758036
I'd stick with 10 meters from the target. Thats the range I prefer to shoot from. Just concentrate shrinking that pattern into a smaller group.
>>
>>31758195
Okay, thanks man
>>
>>31756592
another euro fag

where you live anon?

this sound pricey as fuck
>>
>>31758637

>>
>>31757209
Agreed, apart from the relatively decent rental policy. Apart from that, it's fucking shit when you get assigned to the lane in between a mallninja magdumping his muzzle-brake equipped SBR'd AR into a target less than 5 yards out (6 inch groups anyway) and a fudd sighting in his durr rifle and complaining loudly about how he paid $700 for a scope that won't hold a zero.
>range was packed because chicks get in free on Monday and every Chad in the area shows up in a muscle shirt to rent an AR and try to chat up every girl practicing for their CHL
Never rent their ARs if you go, one stovepipes like a bitch and the other is heavy as fuck because the metal handguard extends all the way down to within 3" of the end of the 20" barrel. They don't have an AK anymore after their old one allegedly suicided in some unlucky fuck's hands while being rented.
