CTG, you know that a lot of SKSs have sights that aren't a pin you drift out right

You have to push down on the sight blade until the sight blade pivot (that thing you think is a pin) can be pushed out of the recess in the track. While the pressure is applied, pull the sight blade out of the track.

You can use a flathead and a strap or band of some sort to use as a lever to apply the pressure on the blade near the pivot area. If I lived close to you I would have no problem helping you out or something, I didn't have much trouble removing the sight from my Russian SKS.
