It has a 4 face Poliment 5P-20K multi-function S-band AESA radar which can search and track aerial and surface targets as well as provide guidance to the SAMs.

The next RN Type-26 frigates will be not far off 7000t. However they will only have a short range SAM system and a few strike-length VLS, so you can't really class it with an air defence or guided missile destroyer. The focus will still be on ASW.

Ship classes aren't really well-defined, only roles are.
