I know people shit on the F35 constantly, and some of their criticisms aren't that off point, but when fully operational, I believe it will be a beast. A real game changer. Not only in the abilities it brings on its own, but also in its ability to complement and work synergistically to improve the combat effectiveness of the F22 and our 4th Gen assets.

Anyone heard anything new concerning possible F22 upgrades like data links and EOTS/DAS?

It's supposed to get Link 16 transmit capability by 2020 I believe, since using it with 4th gen aircraft has turned out to be a bitch without it.
