3D printers make horrible firearms. The plastics that they use are just too brittle for the task. However, they are good at making molds for other more robust polymers.

The only reason you make an improvised firearm is to use it once and throw it away. Anyone with the most basic of hand tools and metalworking ability can craft a firearm.

As a 3d printer owner, this is a terrible idea. It takes forever to print what OP posted, and it still needs basic metal parts like a barrel or springs.

And no, 3d printers aren't expensive anymore. Decent diy kits can be had for 200$ shipped.
