When I say impacting concrete I mean a man with a funny looking hat slamming it as hard as possible into the ground and it blows to pieces. They are pretty good for drops but I don't think it's nearly as bright as it should be for the size.

Usually the old Stewart Browne bakelite flashlights have fucked up lenses or reflectors but mine are still very pristine.
Not too bad considering they're 80+ years old

The LED doesn't do all that much sadly, and moonbeam refers to the light itself, not any of the lenses.

If OP is doing a custom LED job, it should be fine; most LEDs put out shit tons of light, regardless of whether you have a good reflector.
