Sig Sauer because of their prices when their QC nosedived. The P229 is the best shooting handgun for me, but I'm not paying over $800 for a base 229R.

Beretta because lol product 2 years late, doesn't use legacy 92 magazines, and discontinued in 5 years.

I can't bring myself to like anything by modern Colt. My M4 was one of the last Colts before they lost their DoD contract in 2010 or so and was an an irredeemable piece of shit, as was every other M4 our training regiment received.

Their commercial guns reek of average and are priced poorly, with the exception of when they need to balance the books and blow out $800 (or less) 1911s and 6920s. Don't worry though, fanbois will defend the $1300 they paid for that Colt 1991 in 38 Super.

All i want is a fucking fs2000 and when i finally get to where i can buy one..... booom gone.

Ruger because of my bad experience with the purchase of a .380 with the shittiest trigger in existence. NOT an individual manufacturing error, a known design flaw that they refused to acknowledge. They refused to replace or repair because, essentially, they admitted the trigger was designed that way and there was nothing to be fixed just because I "didn't like" the trigger.
The next year, they came out with the exact same model, with a new red skeletonized trigger specifically to highlight that they had changed over the old shitty trigger. I called again, they refused replacement or upgrade.
To this day, it bugs me the same as if I had bought a used gun with broken internals and realized the guy who sold it was perfectly fine with fucking me over on the deal. I'll never buy from Ruger again, nor encourage anyone else to do so. They should have offered a free trigger service.

I got a post freedom 870 for my first gun. I'm not a fan of the new system of mag caps and the ejector rivet shit itself after 500 rounds of birdshot, so the barrel wouldn't stay tight. They did fix it without any issue, so I guess I'm kind of conflicted.

Besides the previously mentioned issues, they've been cucked by the UAW(union AUTO workers) for years, which would explain some of the high prices. Also I tried to get a job at the custom shop(gunsmith school student at the time), and they told me to pound sand at a UAW factory for 30 years to even have a chance. I found a nice used 3rd gen DS for cheap, and that's the only Colt I'll ever own.

If there is one company I hate, it is Sig Sauer.

I wanted a metal carry gun a year ago, and I really liked the p238 and P224. Didn't take much research to find that the P224 rarely came from the factory in a working condition. Everything that could have been wrong with that gun was. I was especially disappointed when i learned that the gun had been out for almost 4 years and it still hadn't been fixed. Didn't stop them from charging over $800 for it.

Then I started reading about the p238 and was again disappointed. I read that it's finicky, breaks slide stop springs easily, and I saw a video where inserting the magazine was denting the feed ramp. Didn't stop them from charging a premium price for the P238 though.

So around the same time that I was thoroughly disappointed by the product quality of Sig, they came out with the legion pistols. I realized that they were more concerned with gimmick marketing than selling decent products. Then this past year they released the P229 Carry, which only came in .40 and .357 sig, but they sold caliber conversion kits for 9mm for extra.

I'm really pissed at them. A p229/p226 has been on my list of guns to get since before I could own guns. But I ain't paying $900 for a gun that has the same chance of needing a trip back to the factory as a Taurus product. I'll wait until Ron Cohen dies.
