You uploaded the wrong pic, you used HK instead of Glock.

those finger groves feel like complete shit. Also have you ever held a Glock 21? Worst ergos of any handgun I have ever held.
>>
>>31713232
I have a p2000sk, no gay ass safety.
>>
>>31713971
so you have a LEM? I am sorry.
>>
>>31714029
The P2000 has no safety models at all, and LEM light is fucking god tier.
>>
>>31713646
Most people on /k/ can't even own a glock because even that is too expensive, so they put that on a pedestal.
>>
>>31714080
What is the deal with the P2000? I have never understood it. Is it closer to a P30SK or a USPc
>>
>>31714167
Its a USPc with a standard light rail and a rear decocker on the DA/SA models. It also has interchangeable back straps. The slide is cut to taper to the top making it have less of a foot print when inside the waist band.
>>
>>31714356
So is it better than the uspc
>>
>>31714376
Yes, but I do think USPc are cooler looking.
>>
Because New York State Laws are fucking ass

HK makes really nice guns but at the end of the day it's a polymer wonder only marginally better than a Glock, sig320, Walther PPQ, XD for twice the money.
It's hard to bring myself to pay $1000 for a polymer gun when I could get a very nice 1911 or p-series SIG for that.

They are nice guns though, to this day I'll contend there isn't a better barrel in the industry than HK.
>>
>>31714517
just because the P series is steel doesn't mean they are better. A USP is better in every way.
>>
>>31714554
p series are all aluminum these days, mostly, and you have to use grease. They're really nice shooting guns though and if I'm dropping a $1000 on a gun, I want a pretty metal one with a great trigger.
>polymer better
>crawling in the dirt
>not having to maintain
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've already given HK plenty of credit, they're fantastic guns.
>>
>>31714626
>he buys guns based on aesthetics

>>
>>31714626
I have never paid 1000 dollars on an Hk, you just have to be patient and shop. I know thats hard for poorfags since poverty makes you impulsive.

>>
>>31714726
>>31714735
I had a p2000 sk and it was a very good gun. So I have in fact owned an HK. I tend to trade guns and get different ones. The HK was really good.
If I can recall I've had:

Bersa 380
S&W model 27
Kimber Ultra Carry 2
Springfield GI 1911
Colt Delta Elite (new edition)
GSG 1911 .22lr
Glock 19
Glock 36
Glock 26
Glock 27
Glock 29
3 separate AR-15's
1 AK-47
HK p2000sk
S&W 629 performance center snub nose
S&W 629 4"
Ruger sp101
Marlin model 60 (from the 90's)
Winchester 1300
Winchester SXP
Winchester 1897
Marlin 883s
Walther PPK
Walther PPS
Walther P22
SIG 320 9mm, medium
SIG 229
SIG 938
Steyr m9-a1
probably a couple I can't remember atm..

What happens, typically, is I get bored and go trade a gun in on another one. I regret getting rid of the HK but when I have $1,000 to drop on a gun, it's not worth getting another one. They're very nice, they're fantastic but for that kind of money, I want something else. The 229 btw, great gun also, fits like a glove. So, I understand you think HK is the end all be all of guns. Good for you.

>>31713232
>Why haven't you joined the master race?
I did, it's not worth the money to rejoin.
>>
>>31714029
I have the v3 with the decocker.
>>
>>31714912
If you spent $1000 on a fucking p2000sk you are retarded. You can easily find them for under 600 new.
>>
>>31714940
That list goes back a ways and I think I spent like $750 on it? Can't recall but seems like it was a fairly new model at the time.
>>
>>31714940
>>31714967
Also I've rented the p30 and liked the p2000sk better.
Haven't shot a USP though, kind of want one but I need another single stack exercise gun come spring so probably an XDS next time. Unless something better comes out.
>>
>>31714912
I have both the P0200SK in 9mm and the P229 in .40, love them both, sig shoots like a fucking precision rifle, most accurate gun I've shot. Both operate well, both are fun to shoot, both fit the hand very nicely, but the HK is easier to conceal. That's why I bought it obviously, because the 229 is a little unweildy with tight fitting clothing. The 229 holds 2 more rounds though, and fires the more powerful .40 cartridge, so it's my go-to home defense handgun and desk gun, as well as my go-to for open carrying. Then again, whatever is closest is what I grab. They're just there to get me from my desk to my room so I can get my AK or mossberg.

Do you feel like you're part of the crowd now because you used a 4chan memememe?

>>31713818

While I greatly prefer the ergos of my P2000sk, I love my Glock 21sf. It's such a sweet shooter. I've been tempted to get a .460 rowland conversion kit and use it to fuck a moose in the ass.
>>
>>31714912
Yeah, like I said, you don't have to spend 1K on an HK unless its an HK45 model, but most people don't even get those.
>>
>>31715005
I'm who you responded to.
I absolutely 100% agree with everything you said.

>>31715194
desu, I've been looking mostly at the p30 because they're so aesthetic but if I did get another HK, it's be another p2000sk or maybe a USP, always wanted one. Both are in that neighborhood. I would never get a VP9.
>>
>>31713310
and pray tell how much of your glock was made by glock perfection. and how much was made by companies that are literally better than perfection.
>>
>>31715286
>both
Meant p30 and... you know whatever. I'm going to bed now.
Have a wonderful evening.

>>
>>31716123
For 60 dollars you can send it to Bill Springfield and he will make it better than a match trigger.
>>
>>31716561
is it worth it? Honestly the trigger is pretty mushy imo. Lot of slack in the uptake and not the most crisp break.
>>
>>31716659
How much have you shot it? Some times you can break in a trigger. I switched mine to LEM while also having it lightened and buffed, so it was worth it to me.
>>
>>31716858
I bought the gun used, the date code is from 96 and the previous owner did a ton of shooting, and also bought it used. I've got a few thousand rounds through it. It's definitely broken in.

I don't understand why people convert to LEM, isn't the single action pull lighter before converting?
>>
>>31716932
>I don't understand why people convert to LEM, isn't the single action pull lighter before converting?

Weight isn't everything. we all like light triggers yes, but the fact I have a slab sided gun and a trigger than is always the same without requiring a safety is nice.

Maybe you should armory breakdown the gun and clean it real good, that could help. Just understand that the older USPs are different and missed out on certain improvements.
>>
>>31717113
from what I've read the compact already comes with a match hammer spring, and the trigger changes should be in place for the 96 date code.

1994 changed from a conventional land and groove rifling to the Polygonal bore, as well as the beginning of the use of a captive recoil assembly. Sometime in 1995 some changes were made to enhance the trigger as well. Personally, I would look for the most recent date code possible, while still remaining within the boundaries of my budget. The biggest generational changes in the USP came in 1994 (all pistols from then on had polygonal rifling in the barrel), 1995 (the trigger was slightly improved), and then somewhere between 1996-1999 (firing pin improvements). All USP pistols should serve you well, but those are the main generational differences for those who might care to know.
>>
>>31717128
>match hammer spring,

This doesn't effect the break. In fact I am not really a weight snob. When I had my P226 I could draw and shoot the DA rapidly and dead center of the x on a Silhouette.

I mean the whole ritual. Packing, tamping, lighting, etc.
I get that because every couple of minutes you need to do something with the pipe that it becomes reflexive and relaxing.

I prefer something less maintenance intensive, but I get the allure of it.

>>
>>31718635
I'm almost inclined to agree. 3 round advantage in the FNX-45, which at that caliber is even more impressive. Obviously the Mark 23 has the advantage in terms of being an offensive weapon, simply for it's barrel length and threaded barrel. Of course that becomes almost irrelevant when you bring the FNX-45 Tactical into the mix (though I personally don't give a shit about the sights or that it's ready to accept an rmr). Definitely compared to the HK45 or USP it outclasses both.

You have never shot a Mark 23. Shoot them both and then come back. The only advantage the FNXt has is capacity.
