Does anyone own the mechtech glock carbine conversion unit? I was considering getting one, and was just wondering what people who own one thought.

Had one for a few months, it was very fun to play with. Had to sell it to cover some unexpected medical bills. Will Def rebuy it later.
I want one of the Glock 20 versions
>>31711087
functionally they're fine, pistol caliber carbines are the shit for plinking
only negative is that they look almost as bad as a glawk
>>31711160
It's not that, it's that it looks uglier than the hi-point carbine.
>>31711154
Seriously considering doing the same thing. Since I'm eligible for blue label pricing and have wanted a g20 for a while the mechtech would just be a natural necessity
>>31711087
Doesn't attaching your pistol receiver to a kit containing a buttstock make it an AOW?
>>31711680
no
if anything it'd make it an SBR (see those short RONI kits)
but since the barrel is 16"+, it turns it into a rifle
weird quirk of the law is because it was originally a pistol, it gets to switch back
are there any of these for 1911s?

Disregard I say again disregard!!!!

I have one in 10mm that fits the g20 frame. The brass either gets thrown downward or horizontally. Don't know if that is common to all calibers. Last time I went shooting it would throw the brass 2 lanes over and pelt a teen every few shots. We ended up leaning a spare target to deflect the ejected brass. I was shooting Sig rounds or LAX factory new rounds. Both are probably about 1200-1300 fps. Picture is fuzzy goddamn potato camera.
Also, heavy AF

Holy shit she's a beauty
I wish I could get one of these in Burgerland.
>>31711702
I thought the RONI also came with a legal length barrel...
Is that all it really takes to keep my doge safe? I have a G26 laying around I kinda want to have fun with...

Alright, you guys convinced me, I'll pick one up next paycheck. Thank you.
>>31711721
Yes, there are.
No, I will not disregard.
>>31715363
that is a very recent addition to the RONI line
>>31715454
well I'm sure I only looked into it in the past few months. Are Roni's with the proper barrel length installed perfectly legal?
>>31715608
yes
they're also perfectly legal in Israel, which is the market they were designed for
they're only sold in the US because they can
the other option is to get an SBR stamp
>>31714368
As an Ausfag, Hera for my Glock is the closest to a semi-auto carbine we can get
>>31718014
Or the FAB DEFENSE KPOS G2
>>31718014
>>31718023
So would appreciate any feedback that kommando's may have about either of them
>>31718023
>>31718014
What's your club like about them? I'm tempted to ask mine what they think about them - I know some aren't too keen to allow them
>>31713522
>I was shooting Sig rounds or LAX factory new rounds
>Both are probably about 1200-1300 fps
lel, no.
Sig trash is 1250 for 180g (advertised) and LAX is 1059 (advertised)
Now I have no doubt you would be getting those velocities (or higher) because it's a carbine, but there's a reason MechTech says NOT to use full power Underwood in their CCU.
>It's because it's a shitty compromise and not close to an actual pistol caliber carbine.
But I'm glad you enjoy it,
I only shoot Underwood because I didn't buy a 10mm to shoot .40 cal velocities.
>RIP Swampfox, he had the closest thing to nuclear loads for 10mm
>>31718062
official policy for the main club is 'qld police aren't sure how to classify these so don't bring them into the range'.
unofficially they may be a good solution for a 3-gun comp with some development
