I remember being a kid and seeing nuggets at big five for $95, and that was in Kalifornia too.
That price point is the only reason that thing is still popular. Now it really is shit for what you pay for.

This. Around me theyre 250 or more
AR-15's, M16A1 and A2 notwithstanding - those are okay in my book. Doubly overrated if it's covered in quadrail bullshit and mallninja toys, like most seem to be.

This blows me away.
I remember getting them in the store by the pallet and selling them for ninety bucks each, including a sling and a bunch of other shit.
We hated Nugget sales, not because of the guns themselves but because of the morons that would come in to buy them. Some fedoraed fuckstick would want to look at every single one to find "a really good one". As you guys know, these things are so coated with preservative that a crew of Mexicans armed with pressure washers and fifty gallon drums of Mr. Clean would need a week before the gun even looks like a gun again, much less be able to determine if your 100 year old relic is "a good one". By then end of a two-day Nugget sale, the counter looked like a puppy had eaten a grease gun on it.
We finally had to put a stop to it. You get the gun we hand you, you pay for it and then you fuck off. Don't like it? Buy somewhere else. We'd still sell them all in a weekend.
250 bucks? Christ almighty.

You were a kid 4 years ago?

And in 40 years we'll be talking about them the way we talk about Mausers now (and paying the prices we pay now).
