M1903 had this contraption made to convert it into an SMG. The name Charleville comes to mind, but I'm probably completely wrong with that name. Either way, that's my guess; it's an M1903, and that's said contraption that makes it an SMG.

Attatching a Pedersen device into a 1903 Springfield, then swapping back the old bolt to fire the rifle normally.

It's not completely accurate, and would normally take much longer. That's mainly for balance reasons.

This. A quick Google search found it to be the Peterson device. As for why the M1903 was being used in single-shot, my guess is that the magazine cut-off was engaged for some reason. I THINK in the process of implementing the Peterson device, I seen said mag cut-off being manipulated in some way.

Typically I don't care about black people being on covers, but I have to agree, it's stupid to have a black soldier on the cover of a game about WWI. It's purely a move made to benefit off the largely Liberal-controlled media. If the game was all about the portion of WWI that was in Africa, then go for it. I also know that there WERE black soldiers sent to the Western Front of WWI, though I doubt there were many, if any, in the East.

Either way, when the VAST majority of people think of WWI, they think of the trenches of the Western front, which was almost entirely about white people fighting white people. Brits, French, Germans, Italians, Canadians, and so on. Oh yeah, and some Yanks came in some time around the end. There was even a Regiment from Newfoundland which at the time wasn't even a part of Canada. First day of the battle of the Somme; July 1st, 1916. To this day it's considered a day of memorial on the island, even though it's also Canada Day. For a war to have a notable aspect that has to do with Newfies, you KNOW it's pretty fucking white.

So yeah, slapping some black dude on the cover when the VAST majority of fighting took place in Europe? Liberal bullshit. It's not going to be a good game anyways; not for anyone with any standards whatsoever in terms of realism.

I got a little hyped about the game when I found out it was set in WWI but it doesn't look realistic at all. It would have still kept me interested if it had more crazy armored trains. I have a feeling I'm just going to stick to Rising Storm until RS2 comes out. The small community on that game is comfy and I love it when the teams communicate for coordinated assaults.
