I ask, because propaganda is certainly a weapon. Reduce enemy morale, recruit others to your cause, counter the COINTELPRO that's certainly being spread about your beliefs and aims...

Take as example the Rape Lasts 30 Seconds, Murder is Forever prop that so efficiently neutralized the brady bunch for the duration of the previous gun panic. How do you get a message like that out when the State is using tech to shut you down?

Counter-example. This piece was well-written, and should have gone far, but didn't reach a wide audience, even on an issue that was already controversial and emotionally charged. What went wrong? How do you avoid it in the future?

My short answer is a comeback of the printed word, due to the widespread use of home scanning and printing equipment. Obviously not the best but it has some appeal.

for external communication, you need memes. Images with powerful subtext that are evocative and draw attention to the abuse. You need to find people who sympathize with your views (or adapt your message to their needs, aka "those dirty Praetorian Guard agents shot _____'s son he was a good boi and dindu nuffin" and take advantage of confirmation bias; that is, tell them what they already agree with, but drag it slowly towards your view. This should be constantly reinforced with in-your-face examples of brutality, similar to how various survivalists like Timothy McVeigh circle-jerked to Waco all day, every day. You need to capitalize on heavy-handedness by making it a meme, preferably distributed via image boards. Something like YikYak would be a decent tool (though I don't think it does image boards).

Historically, the most successful insurgencies have incorporated "big" goals with strong ethno/national or religious components. The reason is simple: a cohesive identity is a powerful thing, and it makes it VERY easy to form in-group loyalties while "otherizing" the opposing party. "WE are the TRUE Constitutional Americans, not the Shillary dogs" is the line you would use, adjusting the language as needed.

Bare in mind that insurgencies rarely succeeds in all its goals (for every American Revolution or IRA, there's a Weatherman or Ted Kasynsky) , but it CAN force a government to make significant changes or come to a negotiating table.

Some basic tactics:
-Force an overreaction; the government will respond to an attack TOO harshly. We raged across the ME so hard we broke a nation that had at best-tangential connections to a SINGLE al-qaeda aligned terrorist. This is expensive on the government's part, but they are easily bated into it.
-Propoganda by the Deed: You can't be all-talk, you actually have to do stuff. That means sit-ins, MLK style protests (getting your ass beat)

MLK style protests (getting your ass beat), to actually blowing something symbolic up. The point is to prove to the people that your cause is dedicated. PR is an absolute must. It WILL NOT work if the public is on the side of the establishment.

Taking advantage of military internal divisions is important. The US military is inherently conservative, with different branches having more-or-less conservatism. Evangelical Air Force and Baptist Marines may not be willing to follow a commander in chief that pays for abortions all day, erry-day. Targeting them is risky, because the US .mil has great PR in the nation, and because it would solidify their unity against the insurgency. Hold off unless they go full-SS and do door-to-door searches.

Frame everything in a historical manner. I don't mean "back when black people were slaves, things were good. We wuz plantation owners and sheeiit". I mean "hey do you remember what it meant to be an AMERICAN??". Call backs to former glory, the promise of a renewed Golden Age is very potent. Ensure the people feel like the Golden Age was stripped of them wrongly, that there was some "other" group that took it from them. Commies, socialists, smurfs, jews, doesn't matter who. Pick a group. "They" took it from the Rightful Few who are your supporters. "They" don't deserve it.

Finally you need to make the echo chamber. This is done by constant reinforcement of "good" deeds (determined by the revolution). Ensure the population feels you are fair, and discredit the government line as much as possible. Point to every inconsistency, make your message heard as often as possible. The squeak wheel gets the grease, as they say.

As a side note, don't start with the .50 caliber red-pills. If you are opening your statement with "THE JEWZ ZOG GOVERNMENT IS TAKING YOUR LAND FOR DA ROTHCHILDS" you have already lost because you sound fucking insane to John Doe.

anonymous data dumps can be effective. in palestine they make these martyrdom DVDs that you can buy at convenience stores. they are well made and are easy to hand out. USBs are another good alternative, and allow you a lot of flexibility as to file type and data density.

Ok. I gotta ask about the Baofeng coms. This is the model that seems to be the most recommended, but these were the exact coms that the Malheur occupiers in Oregon were using earlier this year. The feds listened in on their conversations and were able to gain access to one of the buildings on-site without the militia ever knowing they were there. So if these are that easy to bug or what have you, wouldn't a set of normal camping walkie-talkies work just as well?

that said, you arent going to win the EWar against the Fed barring a major act of sabotage. its had decades of practice in cryptology and stuff against sophisticated enemies like the Soviet Union, you dont stand a chance in a basic walkie-talkie fight.

BUT this emphasizes the importance of codes, frequent changes in code, and things like that. im also willing to bet at least one of the occupiers was ATF/FBI/Homeland Security/Marshalls
