They arent really UN troops. They are nigerian, ethiopian, whateveritisstans troops that are sent on a UN operations. UN does not have any troops of its own to command. UN asks for troops.. And I don't understand how anyone can imagine a country like ethiopia or nigeria or sweden answering a UN call to go tu US to oppress burgers.

And if they did, what do UN troops actually do? They wont be going door to door taking 'salt rifles from patriots.. No they will patrol the main roads of the biggest cities under local police/military escort since UN troops cant really do anything themselves. Inviting UN over to keep the peace would probably do more harm since it would tie so many cops/soldiers to protecting their patrols.

And in areas that are peaceful enough to patrol without local support they wont do shit to avoid provoking the locals in to resistance. UN peacekeepers are basically just for show.
