What kind of gas mask is this? Also gas mask thread.

No no, that doesnt seem right. Heres another pic
>>31652611
Should I take a picture with a cleaner mirror?
>>31652611
OP confirmed Czech twink with M10M gas mask.
The wannabe US M40
>>31652611
>>31652629
No, make sure the picture is obstructed as possible when asking people to identify something.
>>31652572
It's stamped right there on the voice box.
Czech OM10M with the hood attached.
>>31652611
No, I can work off of that. It is either this or my friend's existential crisis. I feel I can manage your mask and that

>GP-5 and SS cap
It's like you want to start a house fire
XM69 master race
>gas masks
>not SCBA rigs
I post this in just about every thread, but good god why would you ever invest in gas mask when you could invest in SCBA rigs.
Gas masks really have a finite amount of things they can do where as a SCBA rig can get you out of just about anything.
Czech M10M M10 as the base and the M variant is with a hood.
>>31652705
Hood works with either.
The M variant has the drinking tube and different exhale valve.
>>31652659
Long hair don't care. Too lazy to find my Rusky or East German wedge cap. And the SS cap looks better for display.
>>31652688
Have you ever worn an SCBA? 1/2 hour of air and heavy af.
>>31652647
Why is mine missing an "O"?
>>31652806
I've been a firefighter for 12 years.
This isn't the 1990s they have quick change plates with adapters that take a wide range of pressures and even filter media like the CDC uses.
Hell you can even get tanks for cheap considering the fire department has to swap them out.
Can you post an example? I've done some volunteer stuff with Scott Air-Paks and even the fiberglass tanks are cumbersome. Whatever tech you're talking about isn't representative of 90% of the stuff on the market.
>>31652738
what mask is that?
>>31652688
I don't know about anybody else in the thread but I collect gas masks simply because I like collecting them, not because I ever expect to use them.
>>31652950
I have stuff from the 30's that serves a purely historical purpose.
>>31652705
>>31652725
Mine is the one with the hood. So does that make it a Czech M10M? Im Googling it right now and I cant find any mask with the hood on it
>>31652738
Gonna need some sauce on that mask.

MSA MCU.

MSA 5073, as pictured in >>31652640
Came with two filters (one of which I opened, used in a silly situation, and left on for directions), clear glass, tinted glass, and plastic holder so it retains suction and utility God forbid I actually wanted to use this.
I bought it from an old SWAT instructor for $50 off TexasGunTrader awhile back. I think they sell for a lot, but I never looked it up because I don't care.
Coincidentally enough, I also bought a Mossman 590SP from the same guy on a completely separate and unrelated sale. $200 and all it needed was a new mag tube spring if I remember correctly.
Jesus Christ gas mask statue anyone?
>>31653274
Yeah that's an MCU-2/P or whatever.
>>31653308
Pretty cool, good to know. I guess I overpaid according to eBay, but whatever. It seems in almost new condition to me, as he said he only used it as a sample and never actually used it for training purposes.
>>31652572
I hope none of you think having some old surplus mask is a practical thing.
Cool sure, but please be aware those things are highly questionable if ever called to use.
