What is /k/ opinion on this? I kinda am thinking of getting one as my first lever gun. However I feel like anybody who is into lever action rifles looks at this like it is an abomination.
>>31652347
anyone?
>>31652726
Yes, what?
It applies to all rifles. I don't really like lever guns. But i think that stock would be terrible on any non pistol grip rifle. Imagine a black k98 with that stock.
>>31652347
Yeah nah
>>31652347
>mfw
If for some reason you can't own a semi, a 92 in a pistol caliber still makes more sense.
>>31652347
This is fucking heresy OP please fuck off
>>31652922
It's an abomination in my opinion. If you want tacticool, no reason to get level action unless that combo just really gets you going. I love my 45/70's classic look, but to each their own.
>>31652347
disgusting. looks like some sort of cuck-state shamestick.

Over 9000 hours in MS Paint.
Love me some lever gats and I'm not opposed to neat/modern builds. The spx is retarded though, there's a good way to go about it and that wasn't it.
I know someone that won one in a raffle.
It's a piece of shit.
>>31652347
That is entirely autistic. I sorta want it.
>>31652347
Yea it's a tragedy

If you replace the stock and handguard with regular wood or plastic ones, I think the gun wouldn't look that bad, maybe foliage green plastic furniture, and it wouldn't look like AIDS.
Some old Ramline brand plastic stockset for a Winchester 94 looks like it maybe could fit or be made to fit on the Mossberg

I agree so much, the forward rails are dumb as fuck, they're not a good fit for the kind of weapon it is, maybe short of a light or laser.
If it had a top-rail, regular solid plastic furniture, and a bayonet lug, the rifle would actually be pretty cool
>>31652347
I like it. A new update on a classic for shiggles. The furniture and muzzle attachment look less than preferable, but I think you could probably make it look snazzy as fuck with a marksman stock, smoother handguard, and suppressor.
>>31652347
What the hell's wrong with the normal 464? Those look nice.
Just get a marlin and put ramline furniture on it.
Pic related, mine.
>>31656787
That looks very clean and utilitarian, I like it.
>>31654106
Apparently you can't into reading comprehension.
I wouldn't care about what people think. You like it? Go for it.
>>31652347
I own one of those
Basically, it was cheap, and I like lever guns, so I thought it would be a neat "curio", and one day in the future, it would be a neat conversation piece.
Here's the deal as an owner whose shot it
>the sights are really nice. Bright and clear.
>adjustable stock is a neat idea, but feels like flimsier than AR quality. One of the cheek rests screw holes has stripped (metal screw/plastic hole).
>stock is comfy as hell. feels better when properly adjusted to your body.
>I put ladders on the rails for comfort, as they are sharp.
>Shot it from the shoulder using wal-mart bought 30-30 (remington green/yellox box)
>Either I had a bad day, or it is an unimpressive shooter
>lack of top rail is terrible. Would be more fun if I could easily attach a red-dot
>rattles more than any of my Winchesters, and sees to be a copy of their design.
All in all, I had the cash to burn, and bought it as a novelty. I really would not recommend over a Marlin, Uberti, or Winchester.

Also, mine has fully railed handguards, and it looks like they changed the fore-end design to be more comfy.
>>31654525
yeah this.
Wood furniture is so much more aesthetic as well.
I mean if you want to buy a fugly looking rifle go right ahead OP but why not something more along the lines of pic related.
Owned that gun for 8 months and traded it in. It was complete shit quality and i was not quite sure what i expected out of a mossberg made lever action with tactical rails
