I have a DD MK18 with a surefire suppressor and dbal-i2 (soon atipal c). I have a bcm stock on it but I've heard that the B5 Enhanced balances out the rifle better and gives better cheekweld when wearing armor.

TL;DR BCM gunfighter stock vs B5 Enhanced when wearing plate carrier with plates.
>>
Pics of your actual rifle.

Why don't you like the dbal?

I like the dbal but it doesn't have an illuminator. I could of-course get a different light head for the surefire but I prefer to keep it white light for when I need it.

Si Senor. Just considering using the B5 Enhanced. Nothing against the BCM Gunfighter.

B5 Enhanced And LMT SOPMOD stocks are the bees knees. I love using mine with armor, it gives a lot better of a feel than when I shoot my SLR 106. In addition they hold CR 123s very nicely in the little spaces for them. Also (hate to be that guy but) FFI combat set video when

haha thanks for the input brother. Have you used the BCM stock? How does it compare.

And yes I need to do a FFI video. I've been putting it off because I keep expecting these things to fail but they won't.

Former BCM stock user here.

The B5 Enhanced SOPMOD is the by far the most comfortable collapsible stock I've ever used. You really can't go wrong.

Couple things:

In your Mk18 video, is that a 5.11 plate carrier? If so, how do you like it?

I noticed you also use a MR07 rail. Where did you pick up that Safariland (?) holster? I need.
>>
>>31641607
I have a Mk18 and it has a B5 sopmod on it. Hell all my rifles have a b5 Sopmod on it except for one with a Magpul CTR (which is my second favorite stock). Works great with SAPI plates and without.

Hey brother the plate carrier is a Crye Precision JPC 1.0.

>I noticed you also use a MR07 rail. Where did you pick up that Safariland (?) holster?

Si Senor, I use the MR07 on my 1911 and it is excellently made. I believe I got the safariland for my 1911 off of ebay - it's incredibly hard to find a holster that fits the 1911 with a MR07, and the only ones that do are the hood type which I'm not a huge fan of. I much prefer the safariland ALS system.

>>31642010
Thanks for the input - much appreciated.

>>31642001
Also nice rifle - how do you like the Geissele rail compared to the RIS II?
>>
>>31642001
>>31642104

fuck my bad, that's a MI rail right? How is it?
>>
>>31641939
I have not, I did use a Troy battleaxe stock and just the CAR stock on it before, the BCM is by far the most comfortable out of the 3 when wearing a PC. Off topic, on the FFI stuff, how is the wicking material? I may pull the trigger on them before you do a video because well that one about Kratos really did a number to their sales.
>>
>>31642147

Oh Kratos.. that guy dropped off the face of the earth.

Regarding the FFI it worked well during the summer and during operationally operating in my job. Sooo, I'd say it's pretty awesome. Beware that the kneepads suck - so buy crye knee pads.
>>
>>31642104
I have the MR07 and it's fantastic. Just need a holster.

>>31642131

It's a Geissele rail. Works great, lighter than the RIS ii
>>
>>31642240
Yeah, I'm slightly dehydrated. I've been looking into pulling the trigger on a geissele rail. Love their triggers.
>>
>>31642271
Well, if NEW IN BOX CAG DEVGRU RANGER SEAL PJ CCT TACP use it then it must be good.
>>
>>31642390
Easy with those tags. That post could easily cost 800 dollars
>>
>>31642271

I really like the rail. I have three Geissele rails and all are fantastic.

There's a Geissele SSA in the above rifle.

Can you pull a model # off that holster for me? I need to buy now
>>
>>31642419
Safariland 6280 for 1911 with MR07
>>
I'd also look at the Vltor Emod OP, it has a similar shape to the sopmod and is super high quality and very rugged
>>
B5 enhanced is for fags who use is because SOF uses the LMT sopmod stock. It's fucking old news just like the Elcan specter. The BCM Gunfighter is awesome.

It's a stock, chill the fuck out. Why do you even need a gun when you could just project that weapons grade autism at someone for a guaranteed kill from farther away than you can shoot kek
>>
>>31643215
Nice strawman. Doesn't change the fact that the b5 stock is not as good for use with a Plate Carrier as the BCM

I can speak to the balancing aspect of the B5, Mr. GThumb. When I got mine i was surprised how "weighty" Its a 10 oz stock. add the 6 cr123s that'll fit or whatever else you can fit in the tubes and it only gets heavier. It isn't heavy, just noticeably so when you first get it. Once on my rifle, I noticed it was slightly easier to hold up my rifle using only my shooting hand without help from my support hand. Don't get me wrong, this stock, the B5, isn't a heavy ass thing that'll counterbalance a suppressor, light, maybe a front sight post gas block if you have one; it definitely makes it a bit easier though.

TL;DR buy one. if you don't like it, just use it for a clone build or something, its a good stock guaranteed, just gonna fall down to your personal preference now!

>>31643254
Si, PVS-14 because I'm poor, but I check out PVS-15's from time to time.

All for you baby.

Thanks for the thoughtful writeup

>>31643255
Vote for the sopmod over the BCM, noted!
>>
>>31643420
Have you considered Sentinels? Sure the OMNI VIII tubes are not on the Green Phosphor unfilmed level that the PVS 15s have, but they are still great tubes with amazing clarity.
>>
>>31644000
Ah yes, they're very nice. I'm just postponing going to something more expensive since I can easily check out a pair from supply as it stands right now. So for now the PVS-14's suffice, and if I need something more I check out PVS-15's on a as needed basis.
>>
>>31644084
Just a dirty civilian question here, but how to 15s compare to other NVG systems? I've only ever demo-ed some different L3 stuff through a lucky break I had, and don't know jack about the field use or extended use. Would it be possible to give me a brief rundown of 14s vs 15s vs ANVIS vs Sentinels for actual extended stuff? I understand if you just don't have time, being the operationally qualified operator you are.
>>
>>31644232
Haha oh man brother I'm hardly a qualified NVG expert. The only systems I'm familiar with are the PVS-7's (Probably 100 plus hours on those), PVS-14's (100 hours), PVS-15's (maybe 800 or so hours) and then the air force survival monocular which I couldn't name off the top of my head.

The only thing I can say is that the PVS-7's, and to some extent the 14's give me a headache due to the poor depth perception. The PVS-15's are great due to better depth perception and the quality and clarity is excellent. We recently got in a new system of night vision goggles that are primarily made of polymer and are quite light. They also use the unfiltered white phosphor so the clarity is excellent.

Wish I could tell you more man but you honestly sound like you have a better grasp on the knowledge of different systems than I do. What are the differences that you know of? I'd love to hear, knowledge is power.

If you get a Surefire V series light, it has white light along with IR light.

As someone who owns a ATPIAL-C, keep the dbal and invest in a IR light. The light on the ATPIAL is fucking shit for anything past 75m.

>>31644607
Fuck. I love the PEQ-15. I've heard that the ATIPAL is just as good but it's meh?

i'm really disappointed in the illuminator. But it does work well inside of that 75-100m range w/o blowing out your NVGs. I use mine to hunt coyotes and I wanted to see eye shine as they come in across corn/bean fields. But the illuminator isnt powerful enough for that. Thats my biggest gripe with it and the FDA has the say on that shit so its not like its gonna change anytime soon. I just plan on buying a M600V from Surefire to get those longer distance illumination.

>>
>>31644497
Well the GPNVs were fucking ridiculous for the 1 minute I got to wear them, and I couldn't get the hang of the PVS 14s to save my life. I do know that PVS 15s in the M953 configuration have green phosphor filmless tubes so you get the clarity of white phosphor with the color scale of the green normal filmed tubes (I remember Ken telling me something about the human eye seeing more shades of green than any other color but idk about that one) Sentinels by themselves are just a housing that virtually any tube can be put into. I can go into more details with pictures and shit if you have an email, something like [email protected] right?
