Anybody in here a JAG, or know anything about it?
I'm applying to law schools here soon, and I've considered applying for the JAG program to pay off school if I can't get any decent scholarships. Also I think it'd be fulfilling to be in the military.
What's it like? You start as an officer, right? Do you still have to go through Basic and everything? Are you seen as the pussies of the military because you're a lawyer?

Yes you start as an officer after you complete DCOIC (driect Commission Officer Indoctrination Course) or what ever your chosen branches version is.
You must meet all physical requirements before you go to DCOIC

Does he enjoy it? As I'm researching I read an NPR article about how they see combat sometimes or are on the battlefield occasionally, but maybe they embellished it more for journalism's sake
