What's the advantage of putting the clip behind the trigger?

magazine?

>>31629890
you can have a longer barrel with a shorter overall gun, because the barrel starts where the 'clip' goes. This allows for greater accuracy (long barrel) while making the gun easy to move around with (short overall length).

also, the word you're looking for is "bullpup"

No. Muzzle velocity.

Thanks

you were in wikipedia bro ! just read it

"This configuration permits a shorter overall weapon for a given barrel length. This maintains the advantages of a longer barrel in muzzle velocity and accuracy, while improving maneuverability and reducing weight."
>>
>>31629934
why doesn't that translate to greater accuracy? (genuine question)
>>
>>31629980
Because once the bullet is stabilized it is as accurate as it is going to get, and this can be done in very short barrels. In fact, the longer a barrel is, the more it will flex, reducing accuracy. Muzzle velocity gives it increased range, and superior ballistics, ie. a flatter trajectory.

some people are this retarded

Its a tricky question really. Higher velocities will allow you to hit further targets, but same barrel will not give you increased accuracy than a similar rifle with a shorter barrel assuming the bullet still stabilizes.

Obviously on high calibur pistols they get a longer barrel to hit more distant targets, but the barrel itself doesn't make it more accurate, it just allows it to be accurate at a longer distance.

He's right though there have multiple tests done with rifles where they continuously shorten the barrel. The groupings stay the same but the rounds will drop more and more as the velocity drops from shorter barrels.

Bullpup rifles are definitely nicer for CCQ and firing whilst leaning out from cover as you can really tuck it up into your body, of course reloading is more difficult but if you are trained on that firearm it's like second nature anyway, you're in for a wild ride if you pick it up in a combat situation without any previous experience though.

No, it's just different.
