How did the Russians issue the SKS between the years 1945-1947? Was it just an SKS and the ammo pouch, and assorted accessories that usually come with the rifle?

I know the Vietnamese, and Chinese had the stripper clip chest rig.

Anyone know where a nigga can get a chest rig for stripper clips? Or stripper clips for that matter?
>>

They were designed and prototyped in 1944, and issued in 1945. Hence the name Simonova Karabine 1945.
>>
>>31628556
If you mean after 1949, they were sent out with

1x SKS rifle
1x Sling
1x Cleaning rod
1x Oiling bottle
2x Clip pouches (can hold 3 clips each)
6x stripper clips

1951 Tula. Upper handguard/gas tube, probably came from the same rifle the stock did, force matched trigger guard. Everything else appears to match. Identified three refurb stamps from Balakleya, Riga and Moscow.

This was the day I bought it straight from the gun show, was $350 and didn't come with a bayonet.

I went out shooting one day and forgot to take my SKS inside, when I was at work someone swiped it from my truck, it was in the canopy which was locked but they managed to get one of the crappy little windows on the side open punch through the screen and got it out.

I will always be salty about it, I don't think the police will ever find it.

It's a tragic yet heartwarming tale, isn't it? The poor girls were made as basically the perfect infantry rifle for WW2, but were made very shortly after the war had ended, facing what may have been an eternity covered in cosmoline and stuffed in a crate, but then one day the crate opens and they found themselves in the loving possession of American and Canadian gun enthusiasts being treated like absolute princesses compared to how the average conscript would treat them.

Fuck, I really need to take the old girl out shooting more, she may not be as comfy as my VZ-58 but she was my first dammit!

Buy a Yugo. Russians in America start around $550-$600 while Yugos are around $450ish for a new one. Only downside is that Yugos have no chrome lining, so more susceptible to corrosion/rust. Just keep it clean and clean it often and you'll be happy.

>How did the Russians issue the SKS between the years 1945-1947?

The SKS was the standard issue rifle of the soviet Armed Forces from 1945 to 1949, the AK wasn't mass adopted by Soviet forces until 1950-1952. The SKS itself didnt get into most front line forces, which was a massive undertaking given how many men the USSR had under arms, until 1947 itself.
The SKS was issued with 120 rounds of ammunition, a sling, the cleaning kit, bayonet, a manual and tools stowed in the butt, as well as the bandoleer.

When the SK replaced the SKS, they went to Artillery troops, Reconnaissance troops, engineers and other rear line guards. They left Army service by 1964 and were still in MVD service and reserves until the 1980s.

The ak had most of that until 47.

The 46 had a short stroke piston, separate dust cover and fire selector, the selector was on the left as was the charging handle.

And then he was told to simplify it to make it easier to make and clean.
