And why is it the Benelli M4 Tacticool?

Seriously, what else holds a candle to this thing that a civilian can get their hands on?
>>
It's the best period. Even considering options not available in America it's still better.

The biggest con is the 922r shit/price.
>>
Sega 12
>>
>>31623834
It is a bit pricey, though what sort of shit can you put on this thing not made in the US? It's damn near perfect straight out of the box. Though, I have seen LE variants in cases that are only to be sold to the police, makes me wonder what the difference between them is.
>>
>>31623838
The only thing the Saiga is better for is a short barrel shotgun.
>>
>>31623852
It's when you want to add the tube extension and folding stock. You have to replace I think 4 or 5 stock parts with US made parts for compliance.

Debating on buying the Benelli or another ar15.

Doesn't do anything better than the cheapest turkish shotgun with an adjustable stock and a rail.
There is absolutely no justification for the insane price asked for spaghetti products.

I give a shit about the folding stock, but getting a tube extension makes it illegal upon installation, is this what I'm hearing?

NEVER EVER buy turkshit!! Its so bad produced that you will get goosebumps if you try to touch it.

I've seen so many of turkish rifles on the IWA and they were all terrible.

Buy a mossi 930 if you want a cheap and realiable auto shotgun.

>mfw turkish guns
>>
>>31623917
Not the tube extension itself. The Benelli has like 13 parts that aren't American that the ATF cares about. In stock form you're good.
If you want to add an extension tube then you need to be at 10 parts or less.
-1 Italian part being the tube you remove
-1 Italian part if you replace the follower
-1 Italian part for replacing the handgaurd with American one
That puts you at 10.

Now if you want to then add the collapsible stock the ATF considers that 2 parts. (Stock and grip). However, the fixed stock on the Benelli counts as 1 part since the grip and stock are 1 piece.
So you need replace another Italian part with an American part. Most people will replace some of the trigger parts or the safety I think.

This is how I understand it. Obviously do your own research.

I think the top rail may count too but idk.
>>
>>31623962
Regardless, this all sounds like bureaucratic bullshit nonsense. Who gives a fuck where the shit was manufactured?
>>
>>31623971
The ATF does. Welcome to American gun laws.
>>
>>31623973
You do know no one has ever been convicted for not following 922r. Its more just for importing shit, no one gives a fuck once its in private hands.
>>
>>31624375
Look, you keep saying this but it doesn't change shit. 922r does apply to foreign guns no matter who owns them. People do need to follow it.

No one is really checking it but stop telling people to break or disregard the law. Don't encourage them to ignore it just because you want to sound like a tough guy who doesn't give a shit on the internet.

We all agree 922r is bullshit but it is in fact the law and people need to follow it while we all work to get it changed.

Eh. I've always found the M4 kinda meh when compared to the M2. It's lighter and just felt better when I shouldered it.

THAT SAID, I haven't had the opportunity to put any rounds through either. This is just from my time working at a gun shop when I had ample time to handle both. So, take it with a grain of salt.

>No one is really checking it but stop telling people to break or disregard the law.

Literally how is it possible to tell the nation of manufacture for those small parts? If you say they're US made and don't have the receipts, what can they do? How would one even get into a situation where the ATF would be poring over each part of your gun individually, other than having committed a real felony and they're looking for shit to stack up charges that will be ultimately bargained down?

The fact is, 922r is entirely unenforceable for private citizens. If you're an importer, there's a large enough paper trail that you do need to follow it. But no such preponderance of records exist for private owners.

(And, frankly, this nation has devalued the rule of law so far through its own corrupt horseshit *cough cough email server cough rigged primaries cough media collusion cough cough torture cough cough Patriot Act cough cough cough*, that we as citizens ought to do our part to commit civil disobedience toward bad laws.)

Sorry to get radical, but jesus christ that fucking debate last night still has my blood pressure up. True signs of what a broken republic when I'm less afraid of the clowns on the street than I am of the two at the podiums.

If the m4 is too rich for your blood (like it is for mine) you can put together a really nice shotgun for alot less with a benelli m1. You get inertia instead of gas, and no telestock but is substantially cheaper and still pretty bad ass. The inertia system works great. Mine has cycled about 75000 light target loads, plus all manner of buck, slugs, heavy fowl loads ect without a hiccup.

Just got 250 rounds of wolf slugs to break it in so I can use cheap wallmart turkey shot too. I hope I don't get a lemon one.
Also, when replacing the stock and giving it other upgrades any tips so the ATF doesn't shoot my doggo?
What about magazines? Can't go over ten rounds but are then American made ones total crap? Should I really shell out 70$ for military factory mags?

Idk about newer production 1100s. But older ones really were sweet guns. Pre 1980s models were very nice, well shooting guns, classic case of 'they just don't make 'em like they used to'. Back when walnut stocks, beautiful blue, and a little engraving came stock, no extra charge

Inertial is far better than gas for practical uses. An inertial gun will work long after the M4 gas system is gunked up.
>>
>>31625992

hanging around 3gun shooters with open-class VEPR/Saigas tells me otherwise.

pump guns are almost bulletproof. the M4 is pretty damn close.
>>
>>31627646

eh... gas should work with a wider variety of shells, and it's much less weight-dependent than inertial. that makes it better for 3gun, however, given that you're shooting a smaller range of shells and not hanging side saddles or lights off of your M2/M3k

I also don't like the cheapo magazine plug (which are now gone on both guns leaving the spring ready to put an eye out), and honestly I have had issues with the feed ramps locking up. Does anyone know if benelliparts.net is legit? It says all the parts come from Benelli USA...

Speaking of which I know Benelli is H&K levels of shit when it comes to civilians owning their guns but why not manufacture American made magazine tube bodies, followers, forends, and stocks and then convert the guns themselves?

It would be no different than when Arsenal in Las Vegas imported Saiga rifles and then converted them right?
>>
>>31634358
>I know Benelli is H&K levels
They really aren't. I actually laughed at that comment. How can you possibly even say Benelli is remotely close to HK.
>why not manufacture American made magazine tube bodies, followers, forends, and stocks and then convert the guns themselves?
No market.
>>
>>31634384
Because they are? Benelli refuses to sell the collapsible stock despite the fact there's nothing illegal about it. They feel it should be reserved for military and law enforcement only. Right up there with H&K on the whole "because you suck and we hate you" attitude towards civilians.
>>
>>31635870
>Benelli refuses to sell the collapsible stock despite the fact there's nothing illegal about it.
They do sell it and the reason they don't sell it "direct" is because of 922r compliance. The stock is illegal if you install it on its own.

Let me know when HK ever brings over a direct copy of a US issued weapon.

let me know when HK lets me buy a close to exact or exact modern issued gun at all.

Let me know when HK doesn't permanently alter their guns.

Don't even begin to say any company is close to how absolutely shit HK is. HK is worse than Hillary.
