Been looking at single stack 9mm's for concealed carry under $400. Can get a M&P locally for $350-380.
>Don't like the Ruger SR9's loaded chamber indicator or mag disconnect safety
>LC9 trigger is worse than M&P
>Glock 43 is way too expensive
>Open to Kahr but would rather give my money to S&W than Korea.
>Like Sig P250 subcompact but can't find under $400
What else should I be shopping the Shield against?
Shameless bump as I near the second page
>today, I will remind them.

I don't understand. Should I carry a revolver?

>What else should I be shopping the Shield against?
>Walther PPS
>good trigger right out of the box
>first Gen has a paddle mag release if you prefer it over the button
>Glock 43
>can actually use the slide lock lever on a reload
>potential to be the best but will require money spent to make it good
My suggestion, get the Shield with no thumb safety and get a fiber optic front or Trijicon HD front sight. I have a Shield and it's a soft shooting gun that I legitimately enjoy taking out to the range.

He's memeing about the M&P's thumb safety.

>Not buying a s&w 36 made on 1974
It's almost like you're a Commie.
Get a canik tp9v2. The aftermarket has grown. You can get 20 round mags now.
Also the SAR K2 and K2P are also excellent. I own both.
Inb4 a bunch of pissed off Americans type "turkshit" to justify the garbage they buy from American manufacturers and 'funding terrorism'.
Turks makes excellent firearms

turkshit

>LC9 trigger is worse than M&P
Then check out the LC9S

Canik
>funding terrorism

I had not seen this yet
>>31622286
Thanks. Good info
Also, I would buy the M&P that comes without the safety

Happened to try out several rental 9mm recently and it seemed the Shield grip felt the most comfy and the trigger had a consistent pull that wasn't too heavy contributing to the smallest groups. Might check these out as potential alternates to see if you get similar results, some have been mentioned:
Remington R51
Glock 43
Springfield XDS 3.3
SCCY CPX-2 (10 round double stack)
Walther PPS / PPS M2
Ruger LC9s / LC9s Pro
Beretta Nano
The PX4 Storm Subcompact also looks interesting but like the CPX-2 seems to be a double stack.
>>31622455
>Remington R51
Yeah get that.
>>31622455
Welcome to the "grip zone" motherfucker
>>31622463
Had to try it out for myself, didn't have any FTF in a short session but it turns out the full length grip safety chews into the web of the hand almost immediately under recoil.
Shop it against the Walther CCP.

Everybody forgot about Steyr?
They got a compact, and subcompact, and even a longer variant of the original now.
>>31622726
Derp'd
They're ~450$, nevermind OP.
>>31622726
>>31622737
Eh, if OP ever invested in aftermarket for some of those sub-400$ guns, it may be better to buy something like the Steyr in the long run.
For sure if he buys the M&P he'll want a new trigger right out of the box.
