Check out those private sales of really rare guns. The panic is starting, people are getting rid of the guns that will be banned when the new gun laws pass in Europe.

EU is pushing their proposal to register everything down to muskets.
The swiss didn't have to register guns for hunting but the new proposal involves classifying semi-autos as "possibly convertablie to a fully-auto firearm" effectively putting them in the same class as automatics and rocket/grenade launchers...

I don't get it, the current proposal while you could abuse it to ban almost everything, can also be interpreted in a way which gives insane leeway to the country.
It comes down to "the nation can chose to issue a permit". So nothing really changes for Switzerland, especially since auto-to-semi conversions already require special licensing and that's what will fuck up most countries which have allowed guns like the Vz58 (super cheap & thus popular) to be converted from full to semi under normal licensing.
Biggest impact will be on deactivated weapons, I guess. But that's not really relevant for the swiss.

Unfortunately we have a very big leftist population mostly concentrated in the cities.
