What model of the rhino should I buy? The 50DS or the 60DS?

you can order them without rails of any kind as a BTO.

the 60DS Gold was a limited production run, as was the .40 S&W moon clip version. any version in polished nickel is also a premium finish discontinued since 2013.

if you're getting a .357/.38 with a conversion cylinder for 9mm, the 40DS will balance all of those pretty well.

.357 works very well out of a 6" or ported 5-7/8" barrel.

if you need to fit in the IPSC or something, the 50DS will barely fit.

Do all modern ones come with the carbon fibre front sight like the bottom right 60DS?

Are these actually a reliable gun or will it's clockwork internals break on me and leave me with a paper weight?

Because these are simple da/sa revolvers made in the CURRENT YEAR for the US market that's priced around the range of other high end revolvers; whereas the Unica which was made decades ago in smaller numbers, had a more complicated mechanism than a standard da/sa, more were probably sold in Italy than in the US (Although I have no proofs to back this up), and was more expensive than an average revolver which limited the market to a very small group.
