Did you liked it, /k/?

i didn't watch it
>>31592869
First I'm hearing of it. Looks cool
Why don't you tell me what you think before asking for my opinion?
>>31592869
I'm liking that mustache.
It was okay.
Does a good job showing how incompetent the UN is when it comes to military operations.
>>31592869
I'm guessing it's on Netflix?
Definitely will watch after work if that's the case.
Watching right now, definitely recommend it, but don't expect "beast of no nation"
>>31594853
Beast of no nation is unparalled in modern cinema, seriously that's the bees knees.

dont have netflix famalam

Really enjoyed the shootouts. Seems like africa really is a smorgasbord of all types of small arms
>>31592869
About time somebody asked about this.
Enjoyed it immensely, far more than I should.
While I'll leave the vastly-simplified and frankly-infantilized depiction of Congolese and African geopolitics to /int/, the battles were everything /k/ can want. Honestly, 80% of the movie is FAL and Bren porn. Me gusta.
Have some operator porn while I look for that one greentext about the Second Congolese War

It was OK.
I liked their creativity with the explosives.
7/10, was bretty gud and the action was well presented, but I felt like everything from the plot to the characters wasn't as fleshed out as it could have been.

alright here we go.
The sad thing is, they almost got it right about how fucked both sides in the Congo Crisis were, politically and morally. Would've added a much more interesting perspective on their insistence to stay and fight, knowing they themselves were just as much tools of foreign actors and parasitic Congolese politicians looking for backers as the mercenaries they were fighting.
Still. Gud fighting scenes, and one can dream of an African war movie that properly shows how fucked and byzantine the politics are.

>African war movie that properly shows how fucked and byzantine the politics are.
And yet for some reason people keep getting themselves involved in that shithole.
Fucking idiot europeans.

America was in Somalia too you know, and Africom helps out Amisom too. Not everything has to be blamed on the Euros. It's more of the developed world thinking it can help with short term interventions and aid packages instead of long term institutional buildup by African leaders.
Yes, and all the Fn Fal goodness

>America was in Somalia too you know
Never
/k/ backs the wrong person in this. The Leopoldville gov. the UN recognized and aided against Katanga did not recognize Israel.
Meanwhile, Katanga received Israeli weapons/advisers as well as mercenaries from Israeli proxies like South Africa and Rhodesia.

I'm insanely jealous of the guys working for Netflix prop department, first Beast of No Nation, then the Punisher in Daredevil and now this.
>>31600076
Why do you post this irrelevant Israel shit in every thread about this? Are you just trying to trigger /pol/sters or do you actually think that an African countrys stance on the legitimacy of a fledgling middle Eastern nation is key to their justification in fighting a communist insurgency?
